Diablo 4 Season 6 is set to be a massive change to the game, and there are a few things you can do to prepare for these updates. Most of it is simply knowing what the world will look and play like going forward. Season 6, also known as Season of Hatred, comes alongside the expansion, Vessel of Hatred, meaning there are lots of new mechanics and features alongside the actual seasonal content.

It’s less about knowing what the new Spiritborn class can do and more about what the world is now offering players. From understanding difficulty changes to activities you should do before the new season starts, here’s how you can best prepare for Diablo 4 Season 6.

It might seem strange to prepare for Diablo 4 Season 6, especially since you have to start a new character, but nothing could be further from the truth. There are a few little things you can do to prepare, whether it’s gaining a few more skill points, or simply wrapping up the rewards from Season 5. For example, going back and wrapping up all your Season Journey objectives will 100% complete the season - if that’s something you’re into.

You can also unlock gear for the Eternal Realm, and titles/icons to customize your player profile. However, more importantly, I recommend making sure you have one character that has all the Reputation Tasks completed for the base game’s regions. This will give you skill points, paragon points, and an increase to your Whispering Mobol limit.

Having all of those Altars of Lilith and miscellaneous objectives is important for having bonus stats and skill points. Couple this with the new region also having Reputation Tasks to complete, it will cut down on the overall work you do. This is something you’ll want to wrap up on the Eternal Realms as well, to have all of these extra stats every time you make a new character.

Another thing you can do to prepare for Diablo 4 Season 6 is to understand that difficulty has changed in this season. You’ll have Normal, Hard, and Expert, until level 50. Then you can take part in Penitent. If you want to begin the Torment difficulties, you must complete at least The Pit Level 20 at level 60 - the new level cap. That unlocks Torment I.

Checking out the patch notes is also a good idea. This will help you discover new items, new changes, and perhaps new build ideas. There are lots of class/build options in Season 6, so having an idea of what you want to level first is also a great idea.
