June is right around the corner, and players can soon expect new updates to roll in for Rust with it. The Adobe skin, which was launched recently as a cosmetic for the stone-building material, found incredible success among the playerbase, bridging the way for new skins for other building materials. Although a majority of what is coming with the June update is confirmed, it is still subject to change.

Here is a more detailed look at the upcoming additions to Rust and other alterations that have been made for the June update.

Twitch Rivals concluded recently and news about a new update for the game has rolled in. A multitude of changes have been incorporated for the upcoming Rust update, which will go live on June 1, 2023. Following are the additions and changes:

Shipping Container skin

Facepunch Studios recently announced the release of the Shipping Container building cosmetics. Along with the change in the look and feel of the building material, players will have the ability to change the color as well, a feature lacking with the Adobe skin.

Using the Spray Can item, gamers can swap the colors among the available 16 swatches that the game provides. Furthermore, the process to change the hammer's skin has been made easier. Players can quickly swap between the cosmetics by using 'Q' and 'E' on the building wheel.

Sleeping Bag changes

The ability to spam bags around an area has been the subject of great debate over the years. The developers are bringing a change to a feature that has been untouched since the release of the game, addressing the community's concerns.

While still a work in progress, the developers at Facepunch have discussed the possible alterations coming to the sleeping bags' intrinsic nature. The probable changes coming with the upcoming update that have been observed on the public-test server are:

  • A maximum of 10 bags/beds per player on a certain server.
  • An option to delete bags has been added to the in-game map.
  • Allowing deletion of bags even with a cooldown on the respawn timer.
  • Deleted bags become unclaimed and public.
  • A change in ownership of a bag will be notified to the player who previously owned it.

Addition of emojis to chat

Also a work in progress, emojis have been added for players to use in global chat in the game. There is no confirmed date for the release of this feature.

Players and enthusiasts can expect the arrival of all these changes with the June update. While the emotes have not been confirmed, they might make their debut as well. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for more such updates as well as beginner-friendly guides.
