WoW The War Within’s Season One has been going strong, so it’s time to update the Mythic+ Healer tier list. Patch 11.0.5 brought some pretty major changes to several classes, meaning some got bumped up, and others dropped. It also changed depending on my thoughts on how these classes have performed so far, and my thoughts on their futures, as this patch goes on.
Like tank tier lists and DPS tier lists, it’s all down to player preference in WoW The War Within’s Season One of Mythic+ content. That doesn’t mean that some classes don’t have it just a bit easier, though. Pick whichever feels right for you, but here’s our take on what the strongest healers are for Mythic dungeons.
WoW The War Within Season One Mythic+ Healer tier list
Below is our tier list for WoW The War Within Season One Mythic+ healers, as of patch 11.0.5. This could, and certainly will change again before Season Two kicks off. As with all lists, it’s opinionated, and your thoughts/preferred healer balance varies.
S-Tier
The S-Tier class in WoW The War Within’s Mythic+ healer tier list is the king of the mountain. All healers do their job decently, but the S-class is the most proficient. They have the best buttons, cooldowns, and survivability of the bunch. Even at the highest keys, you’ll see this class shining.
- Restoration Shaman
Restoration Shaman stands alone at the top of the heap right now in WoW The War Within. Their healing was improved overall, as how efficient they are with mana. They can spot heal, deal damage, and keep the whole squad topped off without too much effort. Whether you’re in a PUG, or a static, you can succeed without a whole lot of effort. Between their Hero Talents and overall power, they reign supreme.
A-Tier
A-Tier healers in WoW The War Within Mythic+ dungeons are still remarkable. They may require more teamwork to hit the highest level of keys, but they’re strong, and certainly worthy of putting in your group. They may have one tiny thing holding them back from the upper echelon.
- Preservation Evoker
- Discipline Priest
- Holy Paladin
- Mistweaver Monk
I still think that Preservation Evokers are incredible, but there’s something really holding them back, and that’s ease of use. Using a Preservation Evoker in a PUG can be infuriating, especially if they don’t get how Evoker healing works.
Then we have Discipline Priests. Their healing is strong, and were recently buffed a bit. However, if you use a Discipline Priest, make sure your team has plenty of interrupts - you don’t have one!
I still think Holy Paladins belong perfectly in the A-Tier. Lots of utilities, survivability, and solid heals/control. The same goes for Mistweaver Monks. Heck, they might break the bonds of A-tier, thanks to the updates they received. We’ll have to see - but for now, they’re a solid, strong healer without being quite in the same rarified air as Shamans are.
B-Tier
B-Tier Healers in WoW The War WIthin Mythic+ dungeons take just a bit more work than A-Tier. They typically perform well in a few areas - utility, AOE healing, or removal, but just struggle a bit more on output, or something else.
- Restoration Druid
- Holy Priest
Restoration Druids are okay - not great, but okay. Their healing is mediocre for what’s required of them in Mythic+ dungeons, but the rest of their kit makes up for it. Perhaps if you have another DPS that can off-heal, I think Resto Druid might be worth it.
Holy Priests could use some love, and they frankly, aren’t getting it. I almost put them down in C-Tier, but we’ll just have to see how the rest of the season shakes out. They don’t have a lot of control, but they have decent damage and healing. It’s easy to be a Holy Priest - it’s incredibly hard to be a good Holy Priest.
