Geoff Bodine is an ex-professional stock car racing driver. He competed in the NASCAR Cup Series full-time during his active years as a racing driver. Bodine drove for big names like Hendrick Motorsports and Junior Johnson & Associates during his racing career in the Cup Series. He also drove for his own team - Geoff Bodine Racing - from 1994 to 1997. Bodine retired from full-time racing in 1999. He raced for the last time in the NASCAR Cup Series in the 2011 season for Tommy Baldwin Racing. He is also the co-owner of Bobsled building company Bo-Dyn Bobsleds.

Geoff Bodine raced in the NASCAR Cup Series for 27 years. He competed in over 575 races and achieved 18 victories throughout his career. Bodine has 190 top-10s and 37 pole positions in the Cup Series. He was awarded the Rookie of the Year honors on his debut in the Cup Series in 1982. NASCAR has named him among the top 10 Modified Drivers of all time. He also has this name in the Guinness Book of World Records; Bodine claimed 55 wins in one season in the Modified series, thus creating a new record. Geoffrey Eli Bodine was born to Eli Bodine Jr. and Carol June on April 18, 1949, in Chemung, New York in the United States. There is no information available about both of his parents. Bodine has three siblings - Todd and Brett Bodine and a sister, Denise Bodine. He is the eldest of the three.

According to Wikipedia, his father and grandfather constructed the Chemung Speedrome. As a child, Geoff was often instructed to help his father at the track.
