Daniel Hemric was born in Kannapolis, North Carolina in the United States. Daniel Brian Hemric is a full-time NASCAR Cup Series driver. He races for Kaulig Racing in the Cup Series driving no. 31 Chevy Camaro ZL1 for the team. Hemric was absent from the NASCAR Cup Series from the 2020 season until he made his appearance in 2024. He used to race in the Xfinity Series during this timeline. Hemric is the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series champion. He won his first NASCAR race and Championship by winning the last race of the 2021 Xfinity season.

Daniel Hemric used to race for Joe Gibbs Racing and Richard Childress Racing in the Xfinity until he switched to Kaulig Racing. He spent the 2022 and 2023 seasons in the Xfinity Series with Kaulig Racing before returning to the Cup Series. Hemric has been participating in the Cup Series for 4 years. Daniel Hemric was born and brought up in Kannapolis, North Carolina. He started racing at the age of 5. Hemric raced go-karts at the Concord Speedway. He won 11 races and a track championship before moving on to Bandolero cars. He is known for his famous backflip celebration, which is inspired by Carl Edwards.

Hemric moved on to Legends cars when he was 16 years old. He won the Pro championship in 2008 and two back-to-back Legends Pro national championships. In 2010, Hemric won the largest paycheck in Legends car history during the Legends Million at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He won prize money of $250,000 as per his official site.

He made his debut in NASCAR during the 2013 season with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. He drove the No.6 Chevy for Sharp Gallaher Racing. He debuted his first full-time season in NASCAR in 2015 with NTS Motorsports. He went on to start his Xfinity Series career with Richard Childress Racing in 2017. Hemric went on to claim 4th and 3rd in the 2017 and 2018 driver standings with Richard Childress Racing before debuting in the Cup Series.
