NASCAR is the pinnacle of stock car racing and it is one of the most loved motorsport series in the American states. With an astonishing number of venues and 36 different races throughout the calendar, NASCAR offers the ultimate thrills to the spectators. The races are marked with high-speed chases, controversies, wrecks and 40 drivers competing for the coveted NASCAR CUp Series trophy.

Every NASCAR race has its own unique history. The races are categorized according to the tracks they are hosted at. Speedways, Superspeedways, Short Tracks and Road Courses are different venues that host a NASCAR race.

NASCAR has had many great personalities dominate the sport in their respective eras. There have been consecutive winners and multiple championship winners throughout the history of the sport. Drivers like Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty and Jimmie Johnson have defined the sport as the icons of performance and talent.

NASCAR Cup Series is won after 16 best drivers of the season compete in the Chase for Cup races after a grueling season of 26 races. The Chase for Cup or Playoffs are elimination based races that decide the final four drivers who get to compete for the race of Championship. Every season there is a Regular season winner after the normal schedule of NASCAR is finished and the series moves on to its Chase for Cup races.

The King of NASCAR, is none other than the oldest NASCAR trendsetter Richard Petty. Petty is a 7 time Championship winner and the winner of 200 NASCAR races. He has dominated nearly every track he has raced on throughout his career. Richard “the King” defined the meaning of dominance in the sport during its early days, providing NASCAR with a huge audience and many fans. He had a great fan following owing to his popularity and his guest appearances in the modern races are marked by a sense of awe and inspiration.

RIchard Petty was known for driving the no. 43 car for Petty Enterprises. He was a second generation NASCAR driver who went on to achieve every record in the sport. He is a legendary driver who tops off the list of every NASCAR driver with flying colors. Petty was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2010 and he has also received the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
