Professional Wrestling Career

CZW (2008-2012)

Cole was trained at Combat Zone Wrestling Academy by DJ Hyde and Jon Dahmer. Cole had a brief run at CZW and won the Best of the Best tournament and Junior Heavyweight Championship. He made several sporadic appearances with different wrestling promotions after getting signed by ROH.


ROH (2012-2017)

ROH was the highlight of Cole's career before WWE. He defeated Michael Elgin to become ROH World Champion at Death Before Dishonor XI. Cole is the only three-time ROH World Champion and faced several friends and foes such as Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Kevin Steen, Kyle O'Riley, Chris Hero and the Briscoes.

At Global Wars 2016, Cole joined Bullet Club and helped the stable take over ROH. Cole won his second ROH World title by defeating Jay Lethal. Jenkins represented Bullet Club and appeared on various promotions. He lost the title to Kyle O'Riley before winning it back at Wrestle Kingdom, which was marked as his third ROH World title reign.

After losing the world title to Christopher Daniels, Cole and Omega had several arguments over the leadership of Bullet Club. At the War of Worlds tour, Cole was taken out by Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks and was kicked out of Bullet Club.

WWE (2017-2021)

Cole's most successful run came from NXT. Cole created a stable alongside Kyle O'Riley and Bobby Fish called The Undisputed Era. The stable grew as Roderick Strong joined the stable at TakeOver: New Orleans. He is the longest-reigning NXT Champion in a single reign. He is the inaugural North American Champion which he held for 133 days. The stable has won the NXT Tag Team Championship a record-breaking 3 times.

Cole had several memorable rivalries in NXT with Keith Lee, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Roderick Strong, Finn Balor, Aleister Black, Velveteen Dream, Imperium and Sanity. Austin ended The Undisputed Era by attacking former stablemate, Kyle O'Riley. The two went head to head in a series of matches from 3 Stages of Hell to an unsanctioned match before Cole left the company.

AEW (2021-Present)

On All Out 2021, Cole made his AEW debut and reformed with his Bullet Club members, Kenny Omega and Young Bucks. In the following weeks, Cole teamed up with The Young Bucks to face The Jurassic Express and Christian. At Full Gear 2021, Cole and The Young Bucks lost to Jurassic Express and Christian. At Revolution, Cole was defeated by Hangman Page.
