Andre-Pierre Gignac

André-Pierre Gignac is a French professional footballer who currently plays for French club Marseille in Ligue 1. André-Pierre is totally described as a \"dangerous and powerful\" striker and personally popular as Dede by teammates and his friends. He started his football career with local club ES Fos-sur-Mer, spent five-years with their team and then moved to hometown club FC Martigues, where he developed himself and was promoted to the senior club Lorient in the seasons 2004-05. He initially played with various clubs before eventually signing with Marseille\'s president Jean-Claude Dassier on a five-year contract in August 2010. At the international front, Gignac got his first international call-up to World Cup qualifiers but however, missed the first match due to injury. However, he scored his first international goal five months later and made his first major international appearance at the FIFA World Cup for his country in the year 2010.
