Jernigan began training for her career at One Fall Power Factory in July 2018. She suffered a shoulder injury before her debut. She wrestled Thunder Blonde in a hair vs hair match at a Georgia Premier Wrestling event before leaving for AEW.
She made her AEW debut and faced Hikaru Shida, which she lost. She teamed up with her best friend Tay Conti and entered AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament: The Deadly Draw, where they lost in the semi-finals. On the November 25 episode of Dynamite, she challenged Shida for the AEW Women's World Championship and lost. Jernigan took some time off to tend to her shoulder injury. She returned and saved Tay Conti from The Bunny and Penelope Ford. She entered AEW Women's Eliminator Tournament for the TBS Championship but lost to Jamie Hayter.
