Anthony Pilkington Biography

Anthony Neil James Pilkington is a football player who plays for Norwich City, as a forward or a winger. He began his professional football career at Stockport County in 2006, before he had previously played with Preston North End, Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers. He then played a big part in County's record breaking run of results during 2007 and scored the goal for Stockport against Rochdale at Wembley Stadium though he got the Man of the Match award. Thereafter , he signed with fellow League One side Huddersfield Town on a three-and-a-half-year contract in January 2009, where he scored his first league goal for Huddersfield against Colchester United. In the following year, due to his injury on left ankle he would not be able to play further games After recovery , Anthony Neil signed by Norwich City with a three-year deal in July 2011. Although Pilkington received a call-up to the Republic of Ireland under-21 squad in October 2008 and participated in UEFA Euro 2012.
