American professional baseball outfielder Corbin Carroll plays for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball. In his early years, Carroll was a member of the University of California varsity baseball team. He was then chosen by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the first round of the Major League Baseball 2019 draft, which prevented him from attending UCLA to play collegiate baseball. Not too long after, he signed a professional contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks and made his professional debut with the Arizona League Diamondbacks.

Parents Brant and Pey-Lin Carroll welcomed Corbin Franklin Carroll into the world on August 21, 2000, in Seattle, Washington. He is mixed-race as his mother was born in Taiwan and immigrated to Louisiana with her parents when she was four, while his father is white (Irish-American).


Carroll competed for the USA 18U National Team in the COPABE Pan-American Championships, where they took home the gold medal. Carroll went to Seattle, Washington's Lakeside School. He hit .540 with nine home runs and an OPS of 1.859 in 2019 as a senior. He committed to play baseball at UCLA during college.


Carroll was chosen by the Arizona Diamondbacks with the 16th overall pick in the 2019 Major League Baseball draft's first round.
