Michael Lance Lynn is an American professional baseball player in Major League Baseball. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on May 12, 1987. Lance plays the position of a pitcher in MLB. He was part of the United States team in the World Baseball Classics tournaments twice - in 2007 and 2023.


Lance used to play for the Ole Miss Rebels team during his college days before he debuted in MLB. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2008 MLB draft, where he was the 29th overall pick. Other teams he has played with include the Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees, Texas Rangers, and Chicago White Sox. Currently, he is playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers. The pitcher is a two-time All-Star and a World Series Champion.

Lance Lynn’s Early Life

Lance Lynn was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on May 12, 1987. His parents are Jenny and Mike Lynn. He also has a younger brother. Lynn attended Brownsburg High School and played in the Little Leagues. He also used to play baseball in high school. In 1999, he was part of the team that appeared in the Little Leagues World Series. Even during high school, he was a very talented player and was awarded All-State honors during his junior and sophomore years. He attended high school with fellow MLB player Drew Storen. At the time, his batting average was .509, his RBI was 46 and he had a total number of 14 home runs. He was also the Gatorade Player of the Year in 2005 and was named an All-Star by Nike.


The pitcher was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 2005 MLB draft, but he chose to continue his education. He attended the University of Mississippi and played for the Ole Miss Rebels. His Earned Run Average was 3.95 and his Win Loss record was 22-12. While he was in college, he was setting out many records. Lance set the career strikeout record, which was at 332, and the single-season record, which was at 146. He was the All-Southeastern Conference second pitcher in 2008 and 2009.

According to Dymin's blog, her mother introduced her to Lance.


Dymin’s mother, Missy, met the pitcher at Walt’s Pizza. Missy then set up a date between her daughter and Lance. The couple had their first date at WheelHouse in St. Louis and proceeded to go to a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert. After dating for a while, the two announced their engagement in 2018 and the rest is history.


Before Dymin, Lance was married to Lauren Grill, who used to be a softball player, but the two divorced and went their separate ways. The former couple have a daughter together.
