Nolan Arenado Life & Background


St. Louis Cardinals is an American professional baseball player who plays for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball (MLB). Nolan was born in Newport Beach, California. Nicknamed "Nado," Nolan stands 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m) and weighs 216 pounds (98 kg). He bats and throws right-handed. Arenado's parents are Fernando Arenado and Millie Arenado. He also has two brothers, Fernando Jr. and Jonah.


MLB Journey


Nolan's role is that of a third baseman. With the 59th overall pick in the 2009 MLB Draft, the Colorado Rockies picked Arenado in the second round. Baseball America ranked Nolan as the Rockies' third-best prospect in 2011 and their 80th-best player overall. On April 28, 2013, he played his first MLB game at Chase Field for the Colorado Rockies against the Arizona Diamondbacks. On October 29, 2013, Arenado became the first National League rookie to win a Rawlings Gold Glove Award at third base.


In September 2015, Nolan bagged his first National League Player of the Month award, leading with 11 HRs, 32 RBI, and 79 total bases.


On Aust 8, 2016, Nolan Arenado blasted his 100th career home run, making him the youngest player in Colorado Rockies history to pull off the record. In the same year, Nolan clinched his fourth Golden Glove Award and became the first third baseman to win the four Golden Glove Awards in a row in his first four seasons.


In 2017, Arenado was selected to start in the MLB All-Star Game for the first time after getting the most fan votes of all National League third baseman. Nolan had a.309 batting average, 187 hits, 43 doubles, seven triples, and 37 home runs at the end of the 2017 MLB season. The prestigious "Sports Illustrated" named Arenado as the eighth-best player overall and the "greatest defensive infielder in baseball" before the 2018 season.


Nolan Arenado and the Colorado Rockies agreed on an eight-year, $260 million contract deal on February 26, 2019. On May 25, he blasted his 200th career home run against the Baltimore Orioles.


On February 1, 2021, the St. Louis Cardinals acquired Arenado from the Colorado Rockies. Arenado was named the National League's starting third baseman at the 2021 MLB All-Star Game in Denver. Arenado concluded the 2021 season, batting .255/.312/.494 with 34 HRs and 105 RBIs.



In August 2022, Nolan Arenado was named National League Player of the Month. Plus, Nado's performance led St. Louis Cardinals to a 22-7 record in August.
