Pokemon Horizons' next series entry, Episode 48 "Shine! The Brilliance of Fire and Art" is set to air in Japan on May 3, 2024. The episode sees Roy and Fuecoco taking their first step on their Terastal Training challenge, preparing for a rematch against Brassius, whom Roy lost to in battle back in Episode 10. But how can watchers tune into the episode if they don't have access to Japanese broadcasts?

There are a few ways to do so depending on what resources watchers have available to them. Nevertheless, it doesn't hurt to examine some of the most direct options while also taking a look at the Pokemon Horizons Episode 48 preview.

Two primary ways that Pokemon Horizons fans tune into weekly episodes comes down to using either Amazon Prime Video and a VPN, or searching for new episodes on anime streaming sites that lay off the beaten path. It'll take time before Horizons' English dub catches up to the latest episodes, so fans are left to look elsewhere.

For starters, if watchers have a Prime Video subscription and a VPN, they can set their region to Japan and then launch Prime Video. Doing so should release the regional locks on Pokemon Horizons, allowing fans to watch new episodes almost immediately after they are released. However, these episodes lack multi-language subtitles.

That leaves viewers with another option. On (roughly) the following Sunday or Monday after the original episode's airdate, fans who act as translators provide subtitles online, and translated episodes of Horizons appear on third-party anime sites. Watchers are still advised to use a VPN due to the nature of these sites, but they serve as an option to watch Pokemon nonetheless.

Our Pokemon Horizons Episode 48 preview begins by showing Roy and Fuecoco training in preparation to battle Brassius in Artazon. Nemona is then shown using her Pawmot against Roy's Fuecoco in battle before Liko and Dot attempt to create art for a festival in Artazon, a Paldean town with a rich tradition in the arts.

Roy and Fuecoco are then seen working together to create a sculpture, something Brassius is known to do himself as fans saw in Episodes 10-11. Roy is then shown later in the afternoon, sending Fuecoco into battle against Brassius' Sudowoodo, which seems to be using Double Team or a similar move. Brassius is seen activating his Tera Orb to Terastallize his Sudowoodo.

The final shot of the preview shows Roy and Fuecoco, scenes of their determined faces shifting from one to the other. Will Roy defeat Brassius where he previously failed? What can Nemona help teach our young hero, and what's the deal with the art festival? The only way to know is by checking out Episode 48 after it airs on May 3, 2024.
