Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine recently denied the claims that he was living in an AirBnB and gave his followers a tour of the "crib" he was staying in during his house arrest. For context, the rapper, born Daniel Hernandez, was ordered held on home detention on September 25 for violating his parole after he was accused of being involved in a mall fight in August.

On October 19, 2025, X account @AkademiksTV posted a video of the rapper giving a tour of his "crib" while showing off his meal and ankle monitor. In the video, the rapper told everyone to watch the music video for his new song FAX (Call Me Wham), which was released on October 17.

He also thanked his team for helping him shoot the video, before taking the camera around to show off his "crib," alleging that he owned the place and was not living in a rental or paying any mortgage.

"The Fax music video is out now. Fax music video out now. Make sure you watch that. By the way, this is n***a's cribs. And for people asking how I got fat, this is all I eat all day. You see, I'm on house arrest. But I want to give special thanks, first I want to thank Cathy and all the people who made the music video possible... And to all my haters, this is my crib! I'm not in no AirBnB. I'm not on no f**king rental. I don't got no mortgage. I don't got no nothing," he said.

6ix9ine's "crib" was filled with bright lights and vivid colors. In the first shot, the rapper was seen in a dark room where bright rays of light ran from the ceiling to the walls. He then walked into a huge bedroom, where a large bed sat in the middle, lined with mirror walls on either side.

The rapper then showed off a hot pink closet, which he mentioned was for his "girl," emphasizing again for his "haters" that he was in his "crib." The video followed him into what he dubbed his "mermaid palace," a vivid blue bathroom showcasing a massive mermaid artwork by the shower enclosure.

Notably, the music video for 6ix9ine's new song FAX (Call Me Wham) was seemingly filmed in the same location. The hot pink closet and the "mermaid palace" make an appearance in the video.

According to Hot New Hip Hop, 6ix9ine reportedly dissed Young Thug on Fax in light of the latter's snitching scandal after a video of him seemingly mentioning Peewee Roscoe during a two-year-old police interrogation resurfaced in August. In the song, 6ix9ine implied that the YSL leader was a "rat" while referencing Gunna, rapping:

"Real life slimeball, go get a napkin/ Watch this though, I done seen a snake turn rat/ You Gunna Wunna do this, Gunna Wunna do that/ N***a shoulda, coulda, woulda, shut the f**k up, you a rat/ You care what you did and you can’t take it back/ Told the cops in front of the world, n***a what the f**k is that?”

Tekashi 6ix9ine on house arrest after pleading guilty to "a misdemeanor battery specification"

According to NBC News, Tekashi 6ix9ine was ordered held on home detention after he violated his probation by being involved in a fight in a Florida mall in August 2024.

The rapper, who was previously sentenced to two years in 2019 after pleading guilty to various charges for his association with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, was arraigned in New York on September 25 and pleaded guilty to a "misdemeanor battery specification as part of his probation terms."

Prosecutors had requested that 6ix9ine be held in prison till his sentencing on November 4, 2025. However, the judge decided to place him on house arrest and track him using electronic monitoring. Lance Lazzaro, 6ix9ine's attorney, told NBC News that home detention was the "right call" for his client, adding:

"I think the judge made the right call just for the fact that he's pending sentence, it would have been too drastic of a remedy to put him in jail."

The attorney further claimed that 6ix9ine was provoked into the fight at the mall in Florida, alleging that the person was "taunting him and threatening to kill him and harm his family and calling him a rat" for being a government witness during his 2019 trial.

"He went to a mall with his family, and a person who had a gun threatened him and called him a snitch and started a whole situation. He has to live every day with people doing stupid things to him and provoking him, which clearly was the case here," Lazzaro said.

This is not the first time Tekashi 6ix9ine has been on house arrest. Following the 2019 trial, he was sentenced to two years, but was released in 2020 following concerns about his chronic asthma due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The rapper served the remainder of his sentence under house arrest.

In 2024, 6ix9ine was arrested for violating the terms of his supervised release and was sentenced to one month in jail, followed by one month of home incarceration, another month of home detention, and then a month of curfew.
