Nicki Minaj directly addressed DJ Akademiks during her recent conversation on X Spaces. The exchange took place the same day as Akademiks' second deposition with Roc Nation, leaving the media personality seemingly startled.

For context, Akademiks was deposed in Megan Thee Stallion's lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz, whom she sued in 2024 for allegedly spreading misinformation regarding her shooting incident with Tory Lanez.

On October 22, 2025, Akademiks posted multiple tweets about his depositions. He claimed that Roc Nation's attorneys asked him several questions about Minaj and Drake during his first deposition in August, suggesting that the legal team was pushing a narrative that the two artists hired Akademiks to spread negative rumors about Megan Thee Stallion.

He was deposed for a second time on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. He updated his followers about the deposition on his X account, claiming the lawyers didn't ask as many questions about either Drake or Nicki Minaj this time.

"Btw for clarity the case I was deposed in has nothing to do with Drake & Nicki . It’s Meg suing a blogger Milagro. Most of the questions seem to surround a theory of theirs suggesting drake Nicki & Tory are paying ppl to talk bad bout Meg /roc nation. They might b schizophrenic!" he wrote on one of the X posts.

That same day, Minaj took to X Spaces to address the issue, which Akademiks reacted to during his recent Rumble livestream. The media personality seemed surprised and confused that the rapper was addressing him.

In her X Spaces, Minaj claimed Akademiks was "asking logical questions and expecting logical answers," while being unaware that he was playing a "game [he] never signed up to play."

"Okay, first things first, dear DJ Akademiks. DJ Akademiks... you are asking logical questions and expecting logical answers. However, there is nothing logical in a game. Okay? There is nothing logical in these games. You are in a game that you never signed up to play," Minaj said.

She further alleged that Roc Nation, founded by Jay-Z, was using Akademiks "as part of the game" to distract people from "the docket."

"The people that are doing this are using you as part of the game, as just another distraction to the docket. You see a bunch of staged court cases, staged depositions. You see, the things that you are doing that you thought they wouldn't think that you would do, they did know that you would do that. That's why they're doing what they're doing," she claimed.

Nicki Minaj implied that Roc Nation was using Akademiks to "drown out" mentions of "the docket" on social media

In her recent X Spaces conversation, Nicki Minaj implied that DJ Akademiks being asked about her and Drake during his recent deposition as part of Megan Thee Stallion's suit against Milagro Gramz was a distraction tactic. She further added that Roc Nation needed "the loudest voices to be irritated at the same time to get on social media to drown out the docket," adding:

"They want you to go on the internet and scream about them. Anything but for the people to pay attention to them dockets. The questions that you're asking are logical, but only if this were in a logical frequency. You are just a part of this game that those people are currently playing."

Minaj continued:

Akademiks appeared mildly nervous after listening to Nicki Minaj's X Spaces conversation, saying that he didn't really want to be involved in the situation. Furthermore, he clarified that he did not have a friendly rapport with Nicki Minaj.

Akademiks admitted that he couldn't agree with everything Minaj was saying. However, he also acknowledged there was plausibility behind the things she mentioned, given his history with the people she was talking about. He also said that he couldn't dismiss her remarks about him being a distraction.

During his recent X thread, Akademiks alleged that he spoke to Roc Nation's lawyers for a total of eight hours during both depositions, claiming the lawyers spent the entire time asking him questions about Nicki Minaj or Drake.

"They spending hundreds of thousands to ask bout Nicki for 8 hours and Nicki sent a few tweets for free.. but she the crazy one? Idk man… I’m just saying," he wrote in one tweet.

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj continued her online onslaught against Jay-Z by posting an AI-generated video of the rapper's face on multiple women's bodies on October 21, 2025.

The Super Bass singer's ongoing feud with Jay-Z gained traction after the female emcee claimed that the Empire State of Mind rapper owed her a "karmic debt" of $100 million to $ 200 million regarding her 3% equity in Tidal, via an X post in July 2025.
