Zombie Uprising has you tackle several hordes of undead walkers in a classic zombie shooter experience. This experience features three different game modes, which differ from each other based on their respective difficulty settings. Where Normal and Apocalypse Modes represent the extreme ends of the difficulty spectrum, the Hard Mode stands right in the middle as the medium difficulty mode.
Let’s take a look at what Hard Mode is and how to approach it in Zombie Uprising.
Approaching Hard Mode in Zombie Uprising
Hard Mode features enemies more aggressive than Normal Mode, but not as relentless as Apocalypse Mode. This places it in the comfortable middle, where the zombies are neither a walk in the park nor brutally difficult to kill.
The Hard Mode can be unlocked once you reach level 10, granting you access to the boosts it offers. With each kill, you earn an extra 25% Cash and 50% EXP, making it a good way to boost your way to the higher levels. That said, its effectiveness as a farming tool does not match the Apocalypse Mode, making it a secondary option to consider when gathering these resources.
Being a medium-difficulty mode, Hard Mode does not demand too much of you. You will have plenty of space between waves and the enemies will not swarm you too quickly. However, if you become too complacent, they will make short work of your HP. So, it’s of the essence to remain careful regardless of the enemies you face.
You can get away with using mid to high-tier weapons in this game mode. We recommend using Tier 5 or higher guns to get through waves at a brisk pace. Melee weapons and secondary armaments will not be exceedingly useful, but you can use them as a form of self-imposed challenge.
Use the loadout that meshes the best with your play style and conquer Hard Mode with relative ease for extra Cash and XP.

Sample loadout for Hard Mode
The choice of the primary weapon will define how difficult the Hard Mode is in this experience. If your main weapon is quite powerful and has plenty of ammo reserves, you won’t struggle much throughout the mode. However, if your weapon is too slow and has a low DPS, you may have a hard time with the increasing number of zombies per wave.
Here’s a sample loadout to clear Hard Mode with ease:
- Primary Weapon: QBB-95 (Tier 5 LMG)
- Secondary Weapon: 93R (Tier 6 Automatic Pistol)
- Tertiary Weapon: PzF 3 (Tier 6 Rocket Launcher)
- Melee Weapon: Karambit (Premium weapon pack)
The secondary and melee weapon selections don’t particularly matter; you can switch them out as you prefer.
