5 things that should happen at WWE Survivor Series

Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens could make for a great Intercontinental title feud.

Lot of excitement surrounds the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship.Survivor Series is always one of WWE’s top pay-per-views, but this year it’s got an added bit of intrigue, albeit through an unfortunate incident. World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins severely injured his knee in a match in Europe, and that put him on the shelf for several months. The tournament to decide a new champion has created a lot of buzz, and it's not the only thing on the card. The Wyatt Family is expected to take on some team surrounding the Undertaker and Kane, and we can only assume other titles will also be defended. Here are five things WWE needs to make happen in all that

#5 New title feuds

Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens could make for a great Intercontinental title feud.

Even though the world title tournament likely ties up both Intercontinental champion Kevin Owens and U.S. champion Alberto Del Rio, that doesn't mean Survivor Series has to be a lost event for those belts. What happens within the tournament should go a long way toward shaping the other title pictures.

Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose should meet in the tournament to set up one feud, and Del Rio should get his next challenger in similar fashion or through some sort of interference by a competitor like Jack Swagger.

Cesaro would also be a solid choice for either title hunt

#4 New Day loses

The New Day entertains WWE fans with wrestling and trombone music.

The New Day have to be a part of Survivor Series because the trio has been the most entertaining aspect of WWE programming for some time now. They seem to be set to defend their tag team titles against either the Lucha Dragons or the returning Usos.

Whichever face team gets to challenge should win at Survivor Series. The New Day could further develop as heels if they're trying to win their belts back, and another team holding the titles would strengthen a tag division that has floundered in recent months

#3 Wyatts win

The Wyatt Family began targeting The Undertaker at the end of Hell in a Cell.

The Wyatt Family and leader Bray have been supposedly growing stronger by feasting of the souls of The Undertsker and his half brother, Kane. This seems to be building to a traditional Survivor Series elimination match between the Wyatts and whomever Undertaker teams up with.

Simply put, Bray and his relatives need to win this match. If they are going to progress as a terrifying mega-heel faction, there's no reason for them to lose to the superstars of yesteryear.

The long-term story needs them to destroy the legends in the ring here

#2 Returning talent

Daniel Bryan could provide a spark at Survivor Series.

WWE certainly hasn't been shy about bringing in stars from the past, and they may need to do something like that for this tournament. A better idea might be to bring back current stars who just haven't been in action.

Rumor has it that Daniel Bryan has been cleared medically by at least one doctor, and fans would certainly love to see him return. WWE brass needs to make sure to handle his situation with care to avoid angering his fanbase, though.

John Cena and Brock Lesnar could also be called back into action earlier than expected

#1 Roman Reigns wins the belt

Roman Reigns has been clearly destined for gold for quite some time.

This won't make a contingent of the WWE Universe very happy, but Reigns needs to walk out of Survivor Series as champion. In all likelihood, that was the plan all along, but he definitely needs to do so now. To see why, just look at the booking.

Since taking the pin when Rollins cashed in for the world title at Wrestlemania, Reigns seemingly hasn't lost a singles match. He spent a good bit of time in tag competition against the Wyatts, but he won that feud and every other singles match.

No one else has been booked that strongly, and that means Reigns is the clear choice here
