WWE Monday Night Raw Preview : 16 February, 2015

The last episode of SmackDown proved to be afresh breath of air thanks to WWE’s willingness to take some risks. Half of the show consisted of Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns trying to survive the tag team turmoil while there was a definite sense of narrative continuation throughout the match. Some people tagged it as a boring outing while in reality; it was a desperate effort from the company to serve something fresh. The next opportunity for the same will be there at the Amway Center, Orlando, Florida thanks to Monday Night Raw.Being the last edition of Raw before Fast Lane, the company needs to cover a lot of ground on their weekly flagship show. So here is a look at all those booking decisions that might be there to be seen on this week’s Raw.

#5 Adding to the Fast Lane Match card

As said earlier, this week’s Raw would be the last major stop before Fast Lane. The inaugural pay-per-view will be desperate to deliver after the forgettable outing at Royal Rumble. However, the WWE needs to book some matches for the same.

Only three matches have been booked for the show so far and there is still enough space to add four or five more into the mix. The potential ones include a tag team championship match between Usos and The brass ring club while a battle between Dean Ambrose and Bad News Barrett could also be added.

Elsewhere, Bray Wyatt needs to be present on the match card so that he could look stronger before the rumored match against The Phenom. The match card for Fast Lane will be much clearer once Raw wraps up and instead of random bookings, hopefully the company will have something credible in store.

#4 American Dream in town

There is a lot of desperation from the WWE’s side when it comes to building up undercard matches. They are looking to make some worthy midcard battles heading into WrestleMania and the sibling feud between Goldust and Stardust will be one among them.

For the purpose of making this feud more important, the booking team has decided to add Dusty Rhodes into the fray. The Hall of Famer will be present in this week’s episode of Raw.

He will be looking to cool down the friction between this two sons and knowing WWE, the angle looks all set to end in a full-fledged heel turn from either Cody or Goldust. At the end of the day, it will be a great moment to see Dusty once again on live television.

#3 Cenas eye, WWEs headache

The John Cena – Rusev angle was taken to a different level last week on Raw when the two ended up brawling. Cena’s eye was said to be injured during the same and though many thought that it was only a kayfabe moment, the situation is quite different.

The Cenation leader is suffering from a serious eye injury that he suffered at a live show. He has been undergoing treatment for the injury and there is also a rumor that suggests Cena missing Fast Lane.

If that is the case then WWE needs to acknowledge the fact at this week’s Raw. Losing Cena will be a big blow indeed but the way in which WWE covers up is what counts at the moment. On other hand, if Cena is fit to wrestle, then the next segment of the feud should be put into the limelight.

#2 Shows latest turn

Big Show underwent another ridiculous turn on SmackDown last week. Even though no one saw it coming, the fans weren’t excited about the turn since Show has done it more than a million times in his career.

Show is not going to headline WrestleMania thanks to this angle but it will at least lead to the rise of some midcard feud. The World Largest Athlete will most probably lock horns with the Authority once again with Kane being the primary culprit.

Hunter will be eager to punish Show for what he did on SmackDown. It’s a “We’ve been there, we’ve done it” scenario and the only chance of making this work will be to try something new.

#1 New challenge for Reigns and Bryan

The Tag Team Turmoil match that happened at SmackDown was one of the Authority’s latest tricks to challenge Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan. Hunter and Seth Rollins are hell bound to create friction between Reigns and Bryan and so far they have been successful as well.

This week’s edition of Raw will see the Flying goat and Samoan Superman being faced with a new obstacle. With Fast Lane just days away, the new one would be stronger than ever.

There is also a possibility of Rollins being added into the match to make it a triple threat. Randy Orton’s return is yet another thing to watch out for and even if all these cards are not played, at least some will see the light.
