WWE RAW 6/30/14- 5 Promising Developments

All in all, this Raw will be known as the night of returns. There were three returns- one that nobody cared much about, one that was really unexpected and one which was fairly unexpected. The last two returns of the show are the highlights of the show. And whenever a popular star makes their returns, the ovation has to be incredible and that is what took the show up by many notches.Here are the five promising developments for the very near future.

#1 AJ LEE IS BACK!

First, I shall begin with the return that was expected at some point of time but whose hopes had diminished as each moment passed. AJ Lee returned to a massive ovation. As far as the wrestling world goes, everyone might know that she got married to you-know-who, and his status as an employee seemed more elusive by the day, so did her return.

But she finally returned and took back what was hers to begin with and took a page from Paige’s book to claim back the title. This sets up a divas feud and atleast I was waiting for, for so long.

#2 Break The Walls Now- Y2J IS BACK!

And now, to the very unexpected return. Miz making a return was such a party-pooper. I mean, it never seemed like he was gone. But that was only a warm up to THE return. And the audience gave him a reaction fit for only the most revered superstars.

What happened next was the inevitable- Jericho planted a code breaker to get rid of Miz and what happened after that can brew into something awesome soon. Jericho looks set to put over Bray Wyatt. If anyone remembers their NXT match, then this is going to be awesome as well.

#3 One little step for Rollins-Ambrose, one giant leap for the WWE Universe

Seth Rollins might be Mr. MITB, he might have had a good match with RVD, he might be the Authority’s new guinea pig, but absolutely nothing can stop him from getting rid of Dean Ambrose that easy or that soon.

Dean Ambrose made a vow that he will always stand between Rollins and that cash in. And this feud of the young took another little stellar step.

#4 A New Champion will be born

As Barrett is legitimately injured, WWE took no time in announcing a Battle Royal to determine the new IC Champion at Battleground. What is so promising is the way Cesaro was portrayed on raw which made him look like a strong contender for the title.

He might just win it. But the Battle Royal opens up interesting opportunities. And usually the one hyped to win, never usually wins it.

#5 What if Punk also . ..

This tried and tested discussion never seems to get old and it is because we so desperately want to see CM Punk just pick up the microphone and blast the Authority the way only he can.

It is the 21st century and to expect that if AJ Lee is back, he’ll be back too because you know, marriage, the road, blah blah. But AJ Lee’s return does give some fodder to tat tried and tested discussion.
