The Arizona Diamondbacks was founded in 1995 and started playing their games in 1998. This is notable for defeating the New York Yankees and becoming the World Series Champions in 2001. Apart from being the World Series Champions, the team has also won the NL pennant once and the West Division titles five times. The Arizona Diamondbacks are the only professional men’s sports team that has ever won a championship in the state of Arizona state. The team also receives much support from their fans, which motivates them to perform better in their games.

In the present times, the Arizona Diamondbacks continue to entertain the masses through their games. Their players try their best to win every game they play. They are a very dedicated team focused on winning the World Series for a second time.

Arizona Diamondbacks History

The history of the Arizona Diamondbacks dates back to the years between 1940-1990 when the state of Arizona wanted a baseball team of its own. Unfortunately, any plans to develop such a team fell through until 1993, when Jerry Colangelo first started preparing for a baseball team in the state. Eventually, the Arizona Diamondbacks team was founded in 1995. The team joined the MLB as a new expansion team in 1998. They gained their first victory against the Colorado Rockies.

The team witnessed great success throughout its early years, culminating in becoming the World Series Champion in 2001 by defeating the New York Yankees. Unfortunately, the team's performance quality dwindled between 2003 and 2005, which resulted in Jerry Colangelo being removed from the team in the middle of the 2004 season. The team took the 2006 season to rebuild and improve themselves and returned to the 2007 season with a new look, including new jerseys.

Most of the team members during the 2007 season were very young, which allowed the team to go into the playoffs for the season. Unfortunately, there, they lost to the Colorado Rockies. Despite this, the Arizona Diamondbacks won the NL West title for that season. Following this, the team performed poorly in the 2008, 2009, and 2010 seasons.

During the 2011 season, the Arizona Diamondbacks completely shattered expectations from the team. They were regarded as one of the worst teams of the season. However, they surprised and shocked everyone with a brilliant performance throughout the season, especially after the All-Star game. Despite this, they lost to the Milwaukee Brewers in the season. After this, the Arizona Diamondbacks team has never been the same as they failed to maintain consistency in their MLB seasons.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have been struggling hard to get into the playoffs since the 2013 season. They finally got their chance during the 2017 season with a playoff berth. However, they did not perform as expected and ended up being 3rd in the NL West Division for the season.

In the 2019 season, the team tied the record with the Baltimore Orioles for having the worst record in baseball, with a score of 52-110. Now, in the present times, the team is still in a struggling phase to improve themselves and get a 2nd World Series Championship in their collections.

Arizona Diamondbacks Owner

The Arizona Diamondbacks is owned by Earl Gentry “Ken” Kendrick Jr., better known as Ken Kendrick. He is a businessman from America and has been the team's managing partner since 2004.

Ken Kendrick was born on September 2, 1943, in Princeton, West Virginia, United States. Under his ownership and guidance, the Arizona Diamondbacks have managed to win the NL West Title Division in 2007 and 2011. They have also reduced more than $200 million through debt restructuring and equity. He also ensured that the team got television rights with FOX Sports Arizona.

Ken also led the team to host an All-Star game at the Chase Field home stadium in 2011. He launched a facility for spring training for the team’s baseball players. He ensures that the players of the team are properly trained and delicate themselves towards winning the games.

Under Ken Kendrick's ownership, the Arizona Diamondbacks' workplace has been regarded as the best workplace in sports. In the present times, he continues his role of supervising the team's actions as the owner and the general managing partner.
