ABOUT

Leeds United Football Club, formerly known as Leeds United A.F.C. is a professional football club based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The club, formed in 1919, currently plays in England's second division, the EFL Championship. Leeds United was formed following the disbanding of Leeds City F.C. by the Football League. Subsequently, the club took over their Elland Road stadium.

Over the years, Leeds has won three English league titles, one FA Cup, one League Cup, two Charity/Community Shields and two Inter-Cities Fairs Cups. The club also reached the European Cup final in 1975, where they lost out to Bayern Munich. Leeds also reached the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2001. The club were also runners-up at the European Cup Winners Cup final in 1973.

Leeds play in an all-white kit at home and have enjoyed storied rivalries in the past with some of England's biggest clubs. Nicknamed 'The Whites', the club has battled many a time with Manchester United with the rivalry portraying one of the most heated in the country.

The club is currently managed by Marcelo Bielsa.
