Andy Murray reached the second round of the Indian Wells Masters with a hard-fought win over Taro Daniel on Friday. The former World No. 1 fought back from a set down to beat the Japanese for the second time this year.

The victory was Murray's 700th on the ATP tour, making him only the 18th male player to attain this feat. Of those 18, only four are currently active on the men's circuit.

So without any further ado, here's a look at the four active players with at least 700 career victories.

#4 Andy Murray - 700

Andy Murray became the latest player to reach 700 wins after defeating Taro Daniel in the first round of the Indian Wells Masters.

The three-time Grand Slam champion was handed a wildcard into the Masters 1000 event and was drawn against the Japanese for the third time this year. Murray and Daniel had split their two previous meetings in 2022, with the Japanese winning in straight sets at the Australian Open and the Brit triumphing in Doha.

Daniel took the opening set 6-1 but Murray fought back to take the second set 6-2. The Japanese broke early to take a 2-0 lead in the third set. However, Murray raised his level over the last few games, breaking the Japanese twice to seal the win.

After the match, Murray said his next goal would be to reach 800 wins.

"This was a target I sort of set myself at the back end of last year," he said. "It's a lot of wins. Obviously very happy to get it here, and let's go for 800 now. It does mean a lot to me because I know how difficult it's been, certainly the last few years."

#3 Novak Djokovic - 991

Novak Djokovic has the third-most wins among active players with 991 from 1191 matches. The Serb's 700th win came in the second round of the 2016 Dubai Tennis Championships, where he beat Tunisia's Malek Jaziri 6-1, 6-2.

Djokovic needs just nine more wins to reach the 1000 mark, which he is likely to achieve sometime this year.

The World No. 2's win percentage of 83.21% is the second best, behind only Rafael Nadal (83.31%).

#2 Rafael Nadal - 1043

Nadal has enjoyed a stellar career with 1043 wins to his name so far. His career-win percentage of 83.31% is the highest for any player with 400 or more wins.

Nadal achieved his 700th victory by defeating Slovakia's Martin Klizan in the first round of Wimbledon in 2014. He went on to reach the fourth round of the competition before losing to Nick Kyrgios.

The Spaniard secured the 1000th victory of his career by defeating compatriot Feliciano Lopez in the second round of the 2020 Paris Masters. He went on to lose to Alexander Zverev in the semifinals.

Nadal's tally of 1043 wins is the fourth-highest in the history of men's tennis, behind Jimmy Connors, Roger Federer and Ivan Lendl.

#1 Roger Federer - 1251

Roger Federer has the highest number of wins among active players with 1251. The Swiss notched up his 700th win by beating Julian Reister in the third round of the French Open in 2010.

Federer registered the 1000th victory of his career by beating Milos Raonic in the final of the 2015 Brisbane International.

He currently has the second-most wins of any player in the Open Era, trailing only Jimmy Connors.

Federer is 24 wins away from breaking the American's record but given his prolonged absence from the court, he could take some time to achieve that feat.
