"An absolute blessing" - Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian swells with pride over the power couple's daughters Olympia and Adira

Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian has expressed his pride over the couple's daughters Olympia and Adira. Williams and Ohanian became parents for the first time in September 2017, when they welcomed their first child, daughter Olympia, to the world. Last year, Williams gave birth to the power couple's second child, daughter Adira River.

Olympia's birth came with near-life-threatening consequences for former World No. 1 and 23-time singles Major winner Serena Williams. However, she survived the ordeal, two months after which she tied the knot with Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. Remarkably, Williams also made a successful tennis comeback, eventually bidding an emotional farewell to the sport at the 2022 US Open.

On their way to the 2023 Met Gala, the power couple confirmed that Williams was pregnant, leaving fans delighted. Later, via an epic gender reveal party, it was announced that their second child was also a girl, who was born in August 2023 and named Adira River.

Recently, Ohanian took to X and stated how proud he is of being a father to daughters Olympia and Adira. The Reddit co-founder also said he is blessed to be in this position.

"I'm so proud to be a father to two amazing little girls. An absolute blessing," Ohanian wrote.

Apart from being a loving father to his and Williams' two daughters, Ohanian has also made major moves that have culminated in the little ones already becoming co-owners of successful business ventures.

In August 2022, a news release from the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) revealed that Olympia Ohanian, who was only two then, had been made a shareholder in Angel City FC. The women's soccer team was founded by Alexis Ohanian and Serena Williams alongside other high-profile names including entertainment heavyweights Eva Longoria, Natalie Portman, and Jennifer Garner.

This development made Olympia the youngest co-owner of a professional sports team at the time. Williams herself had taken to X to voice her encouragement for her daughter.

In September last year, barely days after the birth of Adira River, reports surfaced that the little one had also been made a co-owner of Angel City FC. Furthermore, Ohanian also made Olympia and Adira River co-owners of Los Angeles Golf Club (LAGC), another business venture spearheaded by the Reddit co-founder and his wife Serena Williams.
