The player stated that she had been dealing with injuries for a while, but delayed the procedures as she hoped that the issues will resolve without drastic measures.

"It is safe to say the last 10 months have been difficult as I dealt with a recurring injury to a bone of both hands. I tried my best to manage the pain and play through it for most of this year and end of last year by reducing practice load dramatically, unfortunately it’s not enough," she said.

The 20-year-old was last seen in a contest with Jelena Ostapenko in the first round of the Stuttgart Open on Tuesday, April 18.

On May 15, the former US Open champion revealed that she had successfully completed her third and final surgery and soon afterwards, gave an update on her rehab journey.

Emma Raducanu noted that she will be taking a few months off to heal, and as a result, will be miss the summer events, which include the French Open and Wimbledon.

"I'm disappointed to share that I will be out for the next few months," the former World No. 10 revealed, adding, "It pains me that I will miss the summer events and I tried to down play the issues so I thank all my fans who continued to support me when you did not know the facts."
