Novak Djokovic jokingly reacted to American actor Matthew McConaughey hitting the tennis court.

Djokovic is experiencing an unusual 2024 season, as he has yet to secure a title. The Serb kicked off his season at the Australian Open, where he made it to the semifinals. Unfortunately, his quest for an 11th Australian Open title and 25th Grand Slam title was dashed by eventual champion Jannik Sinner, who defeated him 1-6, 2-6, 7-6(6), 3-6.

Following his disappointment in Australia, the World No. 1 participated in the Indian Wells Masters, a tournament he had not played in for five years. There he suffered a surprising defeat (4-6, 6-3, 3-6) to Italian lucky loser Luca Nardi in the third round. These setbacks led him to withdraw from the 2024 Miami Open.

The World No. 1 then competed in the Monte-Carlo Masters, a tournament he had previously won in 2013 and 2015. Despite his past success, he fell short once again, losing to Casper Ruud in the semifinals with a score of 4-6, 6-1, 4-6. Recently it was reported that the Serb had withdrawn from the upcoming Madrid Open.

Despite his string of disappointing losses, the Serb appears to be in good spirits as he recently jokingly reacted to a social media post of American actor Matthew McConaughey. The actor had shared a photo of himself on a tennis court, dressed in all blue attire - consisting of a headband, a sleeveless collared shirt and a pair of shorts holding a tennis racket.

"Love this game," McConaughey captioned his Instagram post.

Commenting under the post, Novak Djokovic humorously asked McConaughey for some tennis "tips."

Matthew McConaughey was part of Djokovic's box at the 2023 US Open where the Serb secured his fourth US Open title and 24th Grand Slam victory by defeating Daniil Medvedev with a score of 6-3, 7-6, 6-3.

McConaughey had joined the 36-year old's wife Jelena and his children Tara and Stefan in the box.

Earlier this year, Novak Djokovic made some entertaining remarks on social media. Following his loss at the Indian Wells Masters, the Serb attended a game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors at the Crypto.com Arena.

After the game, the World No.1 took to social media to share a video of himself shooting a long-range three-pointer shot and then playfully imitating basketball legend LeBron James' celebration. He even tagged James in his post, humorously asking him to rate his shot-making skills.

"Not too bad ha?😜 👑 @kingjames," the Serb posted.

More recently, the 24-time Grand Slam champion once again turned to social media to share a photo of himself playing golf. The Serb tagged former World No.1 golfer Rory McIlroy and jokingly warned him to "watch out" for his golfing skills.

"Golf day. Watch out @rorymcilroy… 😂 ," the Serb wrote.
