Novak Djokovic's wife, Jelena, usually keeps her reactions low-key when it comes to other players’ wins, but Carlos Alcaraz’s victory over Jannik Sinner in the 2025 French Open final moved her. She couldn’t help but react, posting a one-word message that was short and sweet.
Alcaraz fought tooth and nail against Sinner at Roland Garros on Sunday, June 8, as he looked to defend his title. It was anything but easy, as he was down two sets, and at one point, it looked like all hope was slipping away.
But the Spaniard showed exactly why he’s considered one of the best of his generation, clawing his way back to win the last three sets. When he collapsed to the ground in disbelief and pure joy on Court Philippe-Chatrier, the scoreboard showed 4-6, 6-7(4), 6-4, 7-6(3), 7-6(2).
The incredible comeback was enough to draw a rare reaction from Jelena Djokovic. Hours after his win, Carlos Alcaraz took to Instagram to share a post, and in the caption, he wrote:
“How was your Sunday?”
Jelena left her comment on the 22-year-old's post, which reads:
"Bravooooo.”

Novak Djokovic couldn’t make it past the semifinal stage at this year’s French Open, falling to Jannik Sinner in straight sets. With that loss, the Serb’s chase for a historic 25th Grand Slam title is on hold, at least until Wimbledon.
Novak Djokovic yet to congratulate Carlos Alcaraz; Rafael Nadal & Roger Federer quick to send messages

Novak Djokovic has left Paris following his French Open disappointment and, so far, hasn't shared a congratulatory message for Carlos Alcaraz or a consoling one for Jannik Sinner. However, his longtime rivals Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer didn’t wait long to show their appreciation.
Nadal took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote:
"What an incredible ending to @rolandgarros! Congratulations @carlosalcaraz! Congrats also @janniksin for the great battle.”
Federer, meanwhile, took to Instagram Stories to share photos with both Alcaraz and Sinner, adding a heartfelt message:
“3 winners in Paris today: @carlitosalcarazz @janniksin & the beautiful game of tennis. What a match!”
Alcaraz, Sinner, and Djokovic will now all turn their attention to the grass-court season, leaving Roland Garros behind as they prepare for Wimbledon, which begins on June 30.
