More than two years after their split, Gigi Paris opened up about what happened between her and actor Glen Powell, as well as her thoughts on the rumors involving Sydney Sweeney.
While no names were taken during Gigi's appearance on the Too Much podcast hosted by influencer Emma Klipstein on June 10, 2025, her story closely tracks with her highly publicized breakup with Glen Powell in April 2023, according to a People story from June 10, 2025.
Paris and Powell had been together for over three years and were facing a wave of fan speculation about Glen Powell’s chemistry with Anyone But You co-star Sydney Sweeney when they called it quits.

Talking on the podcast, Gigi Paris, 32, said that her main issue was not the rumors themselves, but how Glen Powell handled them, and that felt like she was 'fed to the dogs'. At around the 10:40 time stamp in the video, she said,

"I just wanted respect, especially if it's gonna be public. Like, don't make an a** out of me. Like, just don't make a fool out of someone you've been with for over three years talking about forever with. Just have some decency, you know? And at the end of the day, it was like, well, work comes first. And if that's the case, power to you, that's your priority. I gotta walk away. What sucked was how it was handled. I felt like I was just fed to the dogs."

Paris revealed that the relationship had started breaking down months earlier, but it was a phone call that she received just before she was supposed to visit Glen Powell in Australia that confirmed the end for her.
“That phone call really is what broke me. I had lost whoever that person was that I loved.”
She also expressed disappointment over the fact that Glen Powell allegedly did nothing to address the rumors at the time, and that the rumors were working like PR for their movie, Anyone But You. At around the 13:27 mark, she said,
"Where are you when you just need to stand up and say, 'No, I would never cheat on my girlfriend. I wouldn't do that.' That's all that needed to be said."
The host responded, "and that was never said?", to which Gigi Paris said, "never once."
Asked whether she ever got confirmation on whether Glen Powell had cheated, Gigi Paris said she didn’t. At around the 17:36 mark, she said,
“I have heard so many different sides of the story. I have no confirmation of what actually happened. I just know what my standards are.”
At the time of their breakup, sources told People Magazine that distance had strained the relationship in an exclusive story from April 26, 2023. Powell was filming in various locations, including Australia, while Paris stayed in the U.S.
Paris said that the distance wasn’t the issue, but how the situation was handled. She described being told not to come near the set in Australia and said it felt “very bizarre.” She also said she was not allowed near the set once she was at the location.

Neither Glen Powell nor Sydney Sweeney has responded to Paris’ recent comments, but they have both addressed the speculation in earlier interviews.
Rumors of their alleged relationship first began during the Anyone But You press tour in 2023, when the "chemistry" between Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney, both on screen and on set, drew attention. Videos and photos showed them laughing, touching, and joking in promotional interviews, sparking speculation that their connection went beyond acting
During an interview on December 22, 2023, Glen Powell told Insider that the timing of the publicity push made things harder for him.
“I was going through a very real breakup amidst a promotional tour. It was a lot easier for Sydney to lean into something like that because she’s in a very committed and wonderful relationship.”
Talking to the New York Times on April 23, 2024, Powell also confirmed that they had leaned into the rumors for the promotion of the film, and that it worked in their favor.
“The two things that you have to sell a rom-com are fun and chemistry. Sydney and I have a ton of fun together, and we have a ton of effortless chemistry. That’s people wanting what’s on the screen off the screen, and sometimes you just have to lean into it a bit, and it worked wonderfully."
Sweeney, who was then engaged to producer Jonathan Davino, responded to the rumors more casually. In an August 9, 2023, interview with Variety, the Euphoria actress said,
“It’s a rom-com. That’s what people want. They want it. It’s fun to give it to ’em.”
According to a People article from April 1, 2025, Sweeney called off her engagement with Davino in March 2025, after feeling "overwhelmed", according to sources.
Sydney Sweeney, 27, and Glen Powell, 36, have both moved on to headline major projects in 2025. Sweeney stars in the upcoming thriller Echo Valley with Julianne Moore, premiering June 6, 2025, in select theaters before streaming on Apple TV+. She also leads The Housemaid, based on the bestselling novel by Freida McFadden, releasing on Christmas Day 2025. Sweeney is also set to portray boxer Christy Martin in an upcoming biopic.
Meanwhile, Glen Powell, who first broke out in the Tom Cruise-led Top Gun: Maverick, has worked on Twisters and Hit Man, and won the 2025 CinemaCon Star of the Year award. He is also set to star in a reboot of The Running Man, directed by Edgar Wright. Powell also recently launched a condiment brand called Smash Kitchen and relocated to his hometown of Austin, Texas.
