Valorant Champions 2024 has finally begun. The 16 qualified teams from the four franchise leagues will battle each other in Seoul, South Korea, for the title of World Champion. The event will commence with the Group Stage and proceed to the Playoffs. Both these stages will be conducted in a double-elimination format.
Day 2 started with the matchup between Americas' KRÜ Esports and Pacific's DRX. The Bo3 (Best-of-three) went the distance as both teams won on each other's map picks. However, DRX finally closed out the series with a 2-1 win.
In the post-match conference, Sportskeeda Esports' Sneh Jadhav got the chance to talk to KRÜ Esports' keznit, during which he made the following statement:
"Any character can be played as a Duelist."

KRÜ Esports' keznit talks about his first time playing as Omen in Valorant Champions 2024
KRÜ Esports has had a great showing throughout the 2024 season. The team finished fourth in Stage 1 and barely missed out on Masters Shanghai. Meanwhile, Stage 2 started off slow but they retained their form and finished third to qualify for Valorant Champions 2024.
In their first match against DRX in Valorant Champions 2024, KRÜ Esports had quite a dominating start that saw them win 13-2 on the first map, Haven. However, the team couldn't maintain that momentum, which allowed DRX to close the series in the remaining two maps.
On the second map, Abyss, KRÜ Esports' star player, keznit played as the Controller Agent, Omen. This was quite an interesting choice as he mainly plays as the Duelist Agents in every match. Sportskeeda Esports asked him about how his experience was taking on a different role in the series, to which he responded,
"It was a really good and a unique experience. I did really good on attack but couldn't do too much on defense. I feel like any character can be a played as a Duelist."
Due to this defeat, KRÜ Esports will make their way to the lower bracket of the Group Stage in Valorant Champions 2024. Their next opponent will be Bilibili Gaming, where they will play for their tournament lives.
