WWE Superstars have been entertaining live audiences for several decades in theatrically athletic performances. This flair for acting and performing stunts has also brought several wrestlers to film and television screens. Today, almost everyone knows about the Hollywood presence enjoyed by stars like Dwayne Johnson, John Cena, Dave Bautista, and more.

These names enjoy the top spot in everyone’s minds when talking about WWE Superstars in films and TV series. However, several other stars have also worked on the big screen. Here is a list of 10 wrestlers who have been featured in Hollywood movies and TV shows that you may have forgotten about.

#10. When Vader exported his masked terror from WWE

Leon “Vader” White had been one of the most terrifying names in WWE owing to his on-screen persona. He had several great moments in his career. Plus, since he wrestled in the pre-Curtain Call Era, people really thought he was an evil punisher.

Naturally, he leveraged this in the sitcom Boy Meet World (1993), where the former WCW Champ played the role of Frankie the Enforcer’s father.

#9. When Roddy Piper turned into a swordfighter

Roddy “Rowdy” Piper was known for being one of the top heels in WWF from 1984 to 2000. The Scottish-Canadian pro wrestler carried the charm and the antagonistic persona that kept people hooked.

Thus, Piper's performance as contract killer Anthony Gallen in the Highlander series was very well-received by the audience. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us and passed away in 2015. The pro wrestler gained a lot of recognition for swinging a sword as easily as he swung his fists in the squared circle.

#8. Wrestling with his face hidden: Rob Van Dam

Rob Van Dam is one of the most prolific and beloved pro wrestlers of all time. While RVD gets huge pops from the WWE Universe, he played the role of a wrestler in the TV Series The X-Files as well.

Unfortunately, RVD didn't have a major role in the show, appearing as an unnamed character in just one episode. While he was masked in the episode featuring him, he still managed to put on a great show.

#7. The Chris Jericho slashers

Lionheart Chris Jericho dominated the 2000s in WWE, winning hearts and matches while being a superstar who wasn’t overbuilt like his pro wrestling predecessors.

Y2J is known for his music career with the band Fozzy. However, he also enjoys a successful acting career. He played a role in the cult slasher film Terrifier, which counts as one of his most successful works and is due for a third installment this year on October 25.

#6. When Kevin Nash worked with Keanu Reeves

Kevin Nash was as much of a star inside the WWE arena as he was in Hollywood. However, many fans may not be aware just how prolific he's been in the film industry.

The nWo member is most known for his roles in The Punisher and the Magic Mike series. Not a lot of people know that he also featured in the John Wick movie series alongside Keanu Reeves as Francis.

#5. When Jesse Ventura added movies to his overloaded WWE resume

Former WWF Superstar Jesse Ventura is a man of many achievements and talents. Having served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, he made a name for himself in WWF. He later turned to politics and even became the Governor of Minnesota.

However, he also pulled off stellar acting performances in movies like The Running Man and Batman & Robin. Moreover, he also enjoyed a role alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in Predator.

#4. When a WWE behemoth acted in a movie: Andre The Giant

Andre The Giant was the embodiment of what a titan must have looked like in the gladiator battles of the Roman Empire. Standing at 7’4” and weighing more than 500 pounds, Andre was one of Hulk Hogan’s biggest rivals.

One would assume he worked in Beauty and the Beast. However, he did bag a role in something similar when he played the character of Fezzik in The Princess Bride.

#3. When Randy Orton continued the WWE legacy of Stone Cold in movies

Superstar Randy Orton recently announced after his comeback at the Elimination Chamber in Australia that he always puts WWE before anything. This is also visible in his acting career, where he has received a great response from the audience, but RKO chose to be The Viper instead of a full-time actor.

But he did play a memorable lead role in The Condemned 2 and carried the legacy of Stone Cold Steve Austin from the first part of the film series.

#2. When Wade Barrett powered a movie series forward

Retired UK pro wrestler and commentator Wade Barrett had a great run in WWE, with his most memorable stint coming during his rivalry with CM Punk, Randy Orton, and John Cena.

While he has retired from pro wrestling now, he did manage to bag a lead role in the movie I am Vengeance. The audience loved the 2018 action thriller, and it even got a sequel.

#1. Moving from YouTube streaming to a big screening: Logan Paul

Youtuber-turned-pro wrestler Logan Paul has quickly established himself in the locker room and the WWE Universe. The US Champion already had a massive fanbase owing to his YouTube career, and thus, he got the opportunity to work in the movie Where’s The Money?

The 2017 comedy film showcased the acting skills of Paul, who was already used to the camera and was thoroughly enjoyed by his fans.
