3 Betrayals that could take place at WWE SummerSlam 2019

Is a turn on the cards?
Is a turn on the cards?

NXT Takeover: Toronto is in the record books, and the show had it's best and worst moments which were documented by Sportskeeda's Riju Dasgupta. With the next show being SummerSlam, the company needs to deliver a solid show. These matches have high stakes that have the audience's attention, but a moment of surprise will add to the fun, and also elevate the storylines.

The match-card has the best talent that will put on a clinic between the ropes, but as I said earlier, a twist or a change of character is always a good idea.

With that in mind, let's take a look at Superstars who can change character during the show.

#3 Natalya turns heel

Will she be a babyface after the show?
Will she be a babyface after the show?

While this may not be the ideal situation that the WWE Universe in Toronto would want to subject themselves to, this doesn't seem like an impossible idea. This can take place after she loses her match and the opportunity at the Raw Women's Championship. The fact that a heel turn in front of her home crowd would get her a good pop can also be counted as one of the reasons why she may turn heel.

An attack on 'The Man' just like the current Raw Women's Champion did last year will only add to Natalya's illustrious career, as well as, also help in elevating the storyline down the line.

We all know that the current Raw Women's Champion is at the pinnacle of her role, and if she brings along a veteran to the storyline to elevate the latter's career, then it will be a win-win situation for the wrestlers as well as for the company. The other two names in the list are also going to get a lot of pop if they change characters during the show.

#2 Paul Heyman turns on Brock Lesnar

Turn is a possibility
Turn is a possibility

While this may come as a shock to some, let's consider a few indicators to understand why this may very well happen. There was a recent rumor which was reported by our very own Anirban Banerjee on the possibility of why Paul Heyman wouldn't want Brock Lesnar as the Universal Champion.

While this is one reason, another reason dates back to Money in the Bank in 2013 where Paul Heyman cost his then client, CM Punk, an opportunity to win the match. The third and most important reason is the attack on the humble advocate during the July 30th, 2018 episode of Raw. This betrayal may set the pace for some amazing action and storyline down the line which will only entertain fans and give them a great reason to watch Raw on Monday nights.

The final name on the list is everyone's choice, but the big question is if it would happen at the show or will we have to wait for a later date.

#1 Drew McIntyre snaps on Shane McMahon

Alliance Over?
Alliance Over?

While this may be on almost everyone's list, I see this as a way to help Drew McIntyre rise from the current state of his wrestling career. When you take a look at the performer, he has the physique, the charisma and the in-ring as well as mic prowess that is required to become a main event performer.

Despite the accolades, the performer has to be a part of some group or work under someone to do their dirty work. Whether the same be Dolph Ziggler on his return to the main roster or now under Shane McMahon.

While the Scottish Psychopath is Shane McMahon's lackey, it would be better off if he attacks The Prodigal Son after the latter loses his match against Kevin Owens. This filled with his frustration of working for a performer that can't win matches will not only help him change the character in the right manner, but the pop will be phenomenal.
