WWE Friday Night SmackDown aired on the USA Network tonight. It featured several big stars in matches and segments, including John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Tiffany Stratton, and Jade Cargill, among others.
The main hook for SmackDown was the return of the King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring Tournaments. Four different Fatal Four-Way Matches were held, but the first one featured the most interesting finish.
LA Knight, Aleister Black, Randy Orton, and Carmelo Hayes went at it. LA Knight was seemingly getting ready to win the match when Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker showed up. Bronson slammed Knight neck-first against the ropes, and Breakker leveled The Megastar with an absolutely brutal Spear.
This attack was brutal and seemingly came out of nowhere, but there are actually a few indicators that could explain why Auszilla and The Big Bad Booty Nephew attacked The Megastar. This article will take a look at a handful of reasons behind the attack on Knight on Friday Night SmackDown.
WWE failed to hide these secrets - Check them out!
#3. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed could be seeking revenge for Monday Night RAW
The King of the Ring Tournament's return was announced on WWE Friday Night SmackDown last week by Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis. The tournament then officially began on Monday Night RAW with a big Fatal Four-Way Match.
Sami Zayn, Bron Breakker, Penta, and Dominik Mysterio went at it, and the four men were in the middle of a stellar match. Just when it seemed as if The Big Bad Booty Nephew was going to win the bout, LA Knight showed up and laid out the former WWE Intercontinental Champion.
This, of course, was revenge from Knight due to several assaults at the hands of Seth Rollins, Bronson Reed, and Bron Breakker. Taking Bron out was simply payback. Now, however, it was Bron and Bronson seemingly seeking revenge.
The duo likely attacked LA Knight in order to get a measure of revenge for what went down on RAW. In their minds, if The Megastar cost Bron Breakker the King of the Ring Tournament, then it only makes sense if they cost LA Knight a win too.
#2. Seth Rollins might be worried about LA Knight winning
Seth Rollins is one of the best superstars of this generation. He made his main roster debut over a dozen years ago and has been a top WWE star ever since. He is a multi-time world champion and a WrestleMania headliner.
The Visionary had a big match last Saturday. He was part of the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match alongside LA Knight, Solo Sikoa, Andrade, Penta, and El Grande Americano. In the end, Seth won.
Now, as Mr. Money in the Bank, The Visionary plans to take over WWE. His first step was recruiting Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed. Now, he has the briefcase. Unfortunately, LA Knight could pose a risk to his plans.
Rollins might be concerned about LA Knight. The Megastar is a fantastic athlete and one who doesn't back down from anybody. Seth likely recognizes these attributes and knows what kind of problem he can be. Bron and Bronson stopping Knight from advancing can help keep him away from a world title and thus away from Seth's path moving forward.
#1. Bronson Reed is still in the WWE King of the Ring Tournament
The King of the Ring Tournament has featured a handful of stars advancing. For example, both Sami Zayn and Randy Orton have moved on to the next round of the WWE tournament.
On RAW, the final King of the Ring opening round match will take place. Rusev, Sheamus, Jey Uso, and Bronson Reed will all go at it in a match that will likely feature plenty of meat slapping and hard hitting.
Big Bronson Reed being part of the WWE tournament could be why Auszilla and Bron Breakker attacked LA Knight on SmackDown. Just as Seth Rollins might realize LA Knight could be a threat as world champion, if he were to get there, Bronson likely sees Knight as a threat in the tournament.
By taking LA Knight out, it guarantees Reed won't run into The Megastar in the semi-finals or finals. If he had any concerns about his chances against Knight, costing LA the win would immediately alleviate those concerns.
