WWE Survivor Series 2019 is set to kick off in a few hours and for the first time in history, we will see NXT locking horns with RAW and SmackDown in the battle for brand supremacy. While the Black and Gold brand will look to have their presence felt, it would be a huge moment for the entire roster if they manage to win most of the matches on the card.

Ahead of the Survivor Series weekend, Triple H openly stated that there are several big surprises set to unfold over the next two days. We already saw a shocking turn of events when Kevin Owens arrived on NXT as the fourth member of Team Ciampa.

If the latest rumors are to be believed, we will be getting bigger surprises at Survivor Series tonight. So without further ado, let’s take a look at the most compelling rumors that might come true at the PPV.

#5 Sheamus makes a surprise return

What if Sheamus and Cesaro cross paths?
What if Sheamus and Cesaro cross paths?

Sheamus suffered a concussion during a match on SmackDown and the injury drove him away from in-ring action for months. However, it was reported in September that the Celtic Warrior has successfully recovered and can make a WWE return before the year ends.

Sheamus’ appearance at Survivor Series would be a welcome surprise. Although his return will hint at the reformation of The Bar, Cesaro has clearly stated that he is more interested in carrying on with his singles run. It is quite possible for Sheamus to return and attack Cesaro which will then allow WWE to push both these Superstars via a fascinating rivalry between former allies.

Cesaro and Sheamus have been in constant touch throughout the latter’s recovery. In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda, he said:

“It’s great, being part of a tag team is a different challenge than obviously having success as a singles. I’m really stubborn about trying to be successful as a singles wrestler, so that’s what I’m focusing on right now. I still talk to Sheamus pretty much every day, giving each other c**p! Just like you saw on television.”

If booked right, this feud can help these Superstars get the share of the spotlight that they truly deserve.

#4 Elias set to introduce the WWE Universe to a huge ‘change’

Everyone is desperate to 'Walk With Elias'

WWE Superstar Elias is easily one of the most charismatic personalities on the main roster. Despite being away from indulging storylines, he has managed to keep the fans invested in his gimmick. However, his recent appearances indicate a huge change upon his return to WWE.

It’s been more than two months since Elias last appeared on WWE television. After spending weeks away from the limelight, he finally made his presence known last Thursday. Elias took to Twitter to post a video of himself singing a song while playing the piano instead of his usual guitar.

Upon closer inspection, you can recognize the song and the lyrics that indicate a change in the near future. Elias was seen singing “A Change is Gonna Come" by Sam Cooke as he added melody to the words “But I know a change gonna come, oh yes it will.”

It is possible for Elias to return at Survivor Series tomorrow and reveal the ‘change’ that he’s been hinting at via his cryptic posts.

#3 Liv Morgan finally debuts a new look

Could we see a revamped version of Liv Morgan tonight?
Could we see a revamped version of Liv Morgan tonight?

For months now, Liv Morgan has been posting cryptic tweets that acknowledge the dark and evil side of her personality. It’s been speculated for weeks that Survivor Series would be the perfect opportunity for Morgan to introduce the WWE Universe to her darker side.

In between, it was being reported that Morgan could return to WWE and form an alliance with Bray Wyatt. The similar tweets sent out by both these Superstars only strengthened those rumors but there’s been no official word with respect to the same.

A possible return for Morgan could see her attack Sarah Logan who is set to represent Team RAW in the traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Women’s Elimination Match. Attacking her former Tag Team partner will allow the former member of the Riott Squad to make her presence known and send a strong message to the entire women’s division.

She was also rumored to challenge Becky Lynch for her title upon her return. Maybe we could see this rivalry initiate at Survivor Series if Morgan returns to the product tonight in Chicago.

#2 Kevin Owens to betray RAW

Kevin Owens has a lot to think about
Kevin Owens has a lot to think about

In the weeks building up to Survivor Series, we saw Triple H confront two Superstars on the Red brand with an intention to have them back NXT at the upcoming PPV. While his chat with Seth Rollins seemed to have little to no effect on ‘The Architect’, his talk with Kevin Owens might have done the trick.

It is common knowledge that the Black and Gold brand is keen on having KO on its roster and would welcome the former NXT Superstar with open arms. Triple H tried hard to remind him of his good old days of brutality on NXT and even pointed out that both RAW and SmackDown have fired him on different occasions.

Although this segment ended with KO being attacked by the Undisputed Era, that beatdown was avenged by facilitating Tommaso Ciampa’s win at the recently concluded Takeover: WarGames (III).

Now, the rumors suggest that KO might betray his brand and aid NXT in the battle of brand supremacy to cement his return to the Full Sail Arena on Wednesday nights.

#1 Brief segment featuring CM Punk

Make way for the 'Best in the World!'
Make way for the 'Best in the World!'

CM Punk returned to WWE Backstage as a FOX employee and has done a commendable job as an analyst on the panel. Having said that, his honest response to some of the segments as well as his comments have already drawn a lot of attention from the current Superstars, especially Seth Rollins.

The two have been involved in a constant back and forth which has seen Rollins challenge Punk for a fight. Expecting Punk to return to the squared circle for a match against Rollins tonight is a little too far-fetched, but it’s still possible that he might be featured in a brief segment that would be more than enough to get the crowd excited.

Rollins isn’t the only one who had things to say about Punk. This week, we also saw AJ Styles saying that he would wipe the floor with his (Punk’s) face. It would be pretty amazing to see the latter address these comments at Survivor Series even if just the video is played on the big screen.

Moreover, the show is being hosted in Punk’s hometown and his appearance would probably be the only way to stop the thunderous chants of his name that are bound to echo around the entire arena.
