5 Reasons why Bray Wyatt has been missing from WWE television

Why hasn't Bray Wyatt made a return to WWE television yet?
Why hasn't Bray Wyatt made a return to WWE television yet?

Somehow in WWE, Bray Wyatt never became the star he should have. He has always been in the mix at the top, but somehow he's never grabbed the brass ring. It did seem like matters were improving when he was teaming with 'Woken' Matt Hardy. But then Hardy got injured and Wyatt simply disappeared.

Yes, he vanished into a mist just like he is known to do on television. Only he has not shown up for weeks and months altogether. He went on to delete all his Twitter posts, except for a couple.

I can only speculate as to why he's been missing for so long now. Tell me if you miss him on television and in what avatar you'd like to see him eventually return.

Without further ado, here's my article!

#5 Waiting for a Wyatt family reunion

It may only be a matter of time before Wyatt returns again
It may only be a matter of time before Wyatt returns again

Bray Wyatt has always been a great singles superstar. But one can argue that he's always been at his best when he was a part of his stable- The Wyatt Family. Back when Luke Harper and Erick Rowan (and later, Braun Strowman were at his side), Bray Wyatt seemed like a big deal.

We all know that Wyatt is not injured because he did compete at Starrcade and other Live Events. Therefore, he could have been waiting for Harper and Rowan to heal up and join forces with them to take over RAW again. The thing is that while The Bludgeon Brothers were a solid tag team, they were no Wyatt Family, to be quite honest.

Now, we know that Rowan and Harper are cleared to compete again and could make their returns soon. Could we see them reunited with their stable leader?

#4 Surprise Royal Rumble entrant

How cool will it be to see the fireflies return during the Royal Rumble match?
How cool will it be to see the fireflies return during the Royal Rumble match?

Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt used to be the most bitter rivals ever. And then, we arrive at the scene of WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans. Matt Hardy, Mojo Rawley, and Baron Corbin were the final participants in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Nobody knew which way the match would go.

And then the lights went out and Bray Wyatt entered the field, helping Matt Hardy win the match. The two would then team up and even win the RAW Tag Team Championships. But that's beside the point for what I'm trying to say, at this moment.

Unlike almost every superstar in history, Bray Wyatt does not need to walk down the ramp and can just appear in the ring in the Royal Rumble match. Because of this unique reason, WWE may be saving his return for this very special stage.

#3 A change in gimmick

Could Bray Wyatt return as a totally different character this time?
Could Bray Wyatt return as a totally different character this time?

I mentioned the fact that Bray Wyatt deleted all of his Tweets. Well, almost but not quite. There's a pinned Tweet on his account that indicates something interesting coming soon. This is the Tweet:

I also had a chance to interact with Matt Hardy when he was down in India recently. Hardy said the following about Bray Wyatt's current status:

I think Bray needed a little time off. He'd had a car accident. So, I think it was just a little bit of time off for everyone. So, I think you'll see an evolution of Bray Wyatt and an evolution of Matt Hardy.

Both of these are indicative of the fact that Bray Wyatt may undergo a major change in gimmick and could potentially return in a brand new persona. While it may not necessarily he his old gimmick, Husky Harris, we could see a fresh new character for him.

I wouldn't mind this at all.

#2 Waiting for Matt Hardy to return to action once again

This is the team that fans probably want reunited again
This is the team that fans probably want reunited again

Matt Hardy should be returning to action from injury very soon indeed. And then Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy could pick up again from where they both left off. They could bring excitement back into a tag team division without any.

Bobby Roode and Chad Gable are certainly great in-ring competitors. But somehow, with them in charge of the division, the Tag Team scenario on RAW has seemed quite stagnant indeed. They aren't setting the ring on fire with The Revival like we expected them to.

Bray Wyatt could simply be biding his time for Matt Hardy to be cleared again so that the team can dominate RAW once more. If this is the plan, their return should be quite huge indeed and they could even take on The Revival or Gable and Roode at WrestleMania 35.

#1 WWE creative may have nothing for him

Unfortunately, this could very well be the case
Unfortunately, this could very well be the case

So many members of the roster do not get TV time because of how incredibly stacked the roster is right now. Superstars like Zack Ryder, Mojo Rawley, Gallows and Anderson, and even SAnitY don't always get TV time for no real fault of their own.

I am afraid that Bray Wyatt could be one of the superstars affected by this unfortunate malady too. Because of just how many superstars there are in the current roster (with more call-ups coming very soon), there may be no place at all for Wyatt.

This could certainly be the case as we know that Wyatt is not injured right now and has worked two WWE Live Events. If this is indeed the reason for Wyatt's absence, it is quite a sad state of affairs.

Let's hope Wyatt returns sooner rather than later.
