It's often hard to make friends, so once you have them you should work hard to keep them. Friendship can come in many forms, and with many different kinds of people.
In WWE, a friendship between Superstars can be a rare thing, though many have been able to get along long enough to have incredible success.
From DX to the Hardy Boyz, friendship can go a long way to making a star into a Superstar. Unfortunately though, at the top, there is only room for one.
Whether it be out of jealousy, resentment or even just growing tired of their partner, there have been plenty of shocking betrayals in history that have left Superstars and the fans reeling.
Look who just shut down all of Tony Khan's critics! More HERE.
Here are five shocking betrayals in WWE that we still haven't been able to get over.
5: The Mega Powers Explode

In the 2000s, it was John Cena and Batista.
In the Attitude Era, it was Austin and The Rock.
And in the Hulkamania era, it was Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage.
The two biggest stars of their time, fans were electric when the Hulkster and the Macho Man teamed up to form the Mega Powers, a truly uncrushable team.
Down the line though, it was the Savage's Macho Madness that would cause a divide between the two, as he grew paranoid on the friendship between Hogan and Miss Elizabeth.
Playing on Savage's real over-protection of Elizabeth, his paranoia eventually got the best of him, as he attacked the Hulkster backstage.
Meeting at WrestleMania 5, the two titans of the era squared off in the main event, though it was Hogan who emerged the new WWF Champion.
4: The Festival of Friendship ends in tragedy

When Chris Jericho began teaming with Kevin Owens, fans weren't sure what to make of the pair.
Some fans were even offended at the notion of putting the two Canadians together, as they thought this would limit them to the tag team division.
Instead, Owens and Jericho were spectacular together and became the best of friends, with Y2J often helping Owens to retain the Universal Championship.
Sadly, all good things do indeed come to an end.
And for these two, this came shortly after Jericho accepted a title match from Goldberg on KO's behalf.
Receiving a new list during the Festival of Friendship, Jericho was shocked to find his own name on it.
Attacked by his partner, the list of KO was just the first attack from the Prizefighter, in what would be an incredible feud.
3: Christian steps out of his brother's shadow

As the youngest of three brothers (hey Matthew and James!) I know how difficult it can be living in an older sibling's shadow.
And for years, Christian did exactly that as he and Edge would dazzle fans, though it was always the future Rated-R Superstar who got the glory.
In 2001, the divide between the two only got wider, as Edge won the 2001 King of the Ring and followed it up with the Intercontinental Championship.
This all boiled over on an episode of RAW is War, when Captain Charisma blindsided his brother with his own trophy and followed up with the pair's signature Con-Chair-To.
Stepping out of Edge's shadow, Christian would follow this up by taking his partner's Intercontinental Title.
A shocking moment between two brothers, who would bizarrely be retconned years later as just close friends.
2: Why Eddie why?!

When Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio found themselves without a match at WrestleMania 21, the Tag Team Champions decided to face each other in a match that Rey one.
And when Mysterio won the subsequent rematch it was clear that this irked Latino Heat greatly.
Eventually, tensions boiled over, and fans wondered whether the two would ever see eye-to-eye again.
Following an attack on Rey by MNM, things did seem to be turning around, as Guerrero would make the save against the two young stars.
What could've been a heartwarming moment quickly turned to horror, as Guerrero attacked his so-called best friend, leaving Mysterio a broken mess.
Feuding with his former partner, more losses would continue to eat Eddie alive until he finally got a win in an epic steel cage war on SmackDown.
1: Seth sells out

At Survivor Series 2012, the WWE Universe saw the formation of a new stable.
Later dubbed The Shield, the trio of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns vowed to bring their own twisted form of justice to the entire roster.
And for 19 months, the group did just that and became one of the most entertaining and popular groups, even facing off against a reunited Evolution.
After defeating the legendary team for the second time on pay per view, everything was going the Shield's way and things only got better when Batista quit WWE.
Just hours later, things would unfurl, as Triple H would unveil his new protege: Seth Rollins.
Attacking his Shield brethren, the Architect became the ultimate traitor, and though the group reunited down the line, there was always a sense of hostility.
