Will we witness a shocking moment at the 2019 Hall of Fame Ceremony?

WrestleMania weekend has already started. With WWE officially done with the NXT TakeOver New York today, the next stop will be the 2019 Hall of Fame Ceremony that will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The event would feature the 20th class of WWE Hall of Fame.

This year's Hall of Fame would most probably be headlined by one of the greatest faction in sports entertainment history, D-Generation X. As part of the faction, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Chyna, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, and X-Pac would be inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame.

Other than DX, the other Hall of Fame Inductee this year are - Torrie Wilson, The Honky Tonk Man, Harlem Heat, The Hart Foundation, and Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake.

The Hall of Fame ceremony has always been an amazing part of the WrestleMania weekend, and this year also it should be the same.

In this article, let's take a look at the 5 surprising things that can happen at the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony.

#5 Billy Gunn shows up

Billy Gunn has signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling!
Billy Gunn has signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling!

Billy Gunn was one half of the New Age Outlaws along with Road Dogg. The two were an integral part of the new D-Generation X after Shawn Michaels left. He is a 10-time WWF Tag Team Champion, one-time WWE Tag Team Champion, 1999 King of the Ring winner and has won a few more titles as well.

But recently, Billy Gunn signed a contract with the newest rivals in town, All Elite Wrestling as a producer. Fans were shocked when he was announced for the Hall of Fame but they are not expecting him to show up.

But what if Gunn actually shows up? It would mark the first time an AEW employee will be on WWE TV. In case they don't have him on the show, they at least will have to mention the reason of him not being there. It would be interesting to see how WWE deals with this situation.

#4 DX pays tribute to Chyna

Finally, she is going into the WWE Hall of Fame!
Finally, she is going into the WWE Hall of Fame!

The second version of D-Generation X consisted of Triple H, The New Age Outlaws, X-Pac, and Chyna. Popularly known as the ninth wonder of the world, Chyna was an integral part of the D-Generation X as well as WWE history.

She was the first women to participate in the Royal Rumble match and the King of the Ring tournament. She was also the first and only women to hold the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

But even after such a monumental career, WWE only recently has started to acknowledge her existence. The reason behind this is her shift to the adult industry after leaving WWF in 2001. For so long, WWE didn't want to link her name with her, but after a lot of fans demands and many legends taking her side, they finally decided to put her into the Hall of Fame as part of DX.

Now it'd be interesting to see how much do they talk about her at the ceremony. A special tribute to the ninth wonder of the world by the members of DX would be a special moment to witness and would surely go down as one of the best segments in Hall of Fame history.

#3 Batista and Triple H have a heated confrontation

Will these two confront each other at the Hall of Fame ceremony?

While WWE usually doesn't promote their ongoing rivalries and feuds on such events, but what if they book Batista to have a heated confrontation with The Game at the Hall of Fame ceremony?

Batista and Triple H are scheduled to face each other in a No Holds Barred Match at WrestleMania 35 in a couple of days. With Triple H's career on the line, a heated confrontation followed by some mocking words from Batista would surely hype up their upcoming battle at 'Mania.

#2 The Honky Tonk Man and Elias give a performance

How would this duo be?
How would this duo be?

We all know Elias is scheduled to give a musical performance at WrestleMania 35. What if before his main performance on the grandest stage of them all, he does a small performance with one of the legends in the business?

Honky Tonk Man is all set to be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year, with Jimmy Hart being the one to induct him. A duo between him and Elias would be something everyone including the fans would love to see.

#1 The Undertaker turns up to attend The Hall of Fame

Will The Undertaker attend the Hall of Fame ceremony?
Will The Undertaker attend the Hall of Fame ceremony?

The Undertaker has never attended the Hall of Fame ceremony for the sake of maintaining his Dead Man character. The only time he was present at the Hall of Fame was back in 2014 where he appeared on the stage to pay a final tribute to his late on-screen manager William Moody aka Paul Bearer. Then also he was in character.

But what if The Undertaker shows up as his mortal self Mark Callaway at the Hall of Fame this year. He has already made a lot of out-of-character appearances this year. With him being probably the last person to maintain Kayfabe in pro wrestling if The Phenom does show up and attend the Hall of Ceremony, it would officially be the final nail in the coffin of Kayfabe.

The Undertaker is still not advertised for WrestleMania 35, but fans are still expecting him to show up in some capacity.
