Daniel Bryan once seemed like he was about to enter a rivalry with Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship on WWE SmackDown. But now Kevin Owens will challenge Reigns. So it seems like WWE is setting Bryan up as a potential challenger for Sami Zayn’s WWE Intercontinental Championship.

During last week’s WWE SmackDown, Bryan teamed up with Big E and Rey Mysterio to defeat Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Dolph Ziggler. Bryan pinned the Intercontinental Champion to win the contest for his team.

Starting this week, SmackDown must allow Zayn to come out and run his mouth on the show. In doing so, he could opening the door for a renewed rivalry with "The Planet’s Champion." Bryan seems to be in top form once again, and these two veterans could give fans some more incredible matches.

WWE must allow Bryan and Zayn to feud over the Intercontinental Championship. The two men could start having matches on the blue brand, or they wait until the WWE TLC pay-per-view to have their championship match.
