WWE Divas lead a glamourous life on-screen. But what happens when the WWE spotlight fades?
Trish Stratus adjusted to her post-WWE career with aplomb as she opened her own Yoga studio, whereas Divas like Chyna and Sunny struggled in their post-WWE stints, dabbling in many questionable career options.
While many Divas including the likes of Candice Michelle have continued their careers as models, there are some who have chosen to stay away from glitz and glamour.
This list takes a look at five WWE Divas and their careers outside wrestling.
1. WWE Hall of Famer Lita
Lita was one of the greatest women wrestlers of all time and the best high flying female performer to ever set foot inside a WWE ring.Lita had a six-year career in the company, debuting as the valet of Essa Rios, before going on to have a great run as one-thirds of Team Xtreme alongside Matt and Jeff Hardy.
Her real life affair with Edge while dating Matt Hardy would result in her getting booed by the fans, but Lita would work it to her advantage as she and Edge would become an onscreen couple, main eventing numerous PPVs.
The four-time Women's' Champion ended her in-ring career in 2006 and her post-WWE run has seen her revisit her original love – music.
Lita used to be a roadie for a local band while growing up and she formed the band ‘The Luchagores’ in 2006. The band released their eponymous debut CD in 2007. She has contributed vocals to other bands as well.
In addition to this, she is also a full-time creative writer for the WWE.
2. Molly Holly
Molly Holly is one performer who wasn’t blown away by the glitz and glamour of the WWE. A two-time Women's’ Champion and a Hardcore Champion, Molly reportedly left the WWE as she felt that looks were gaining prominence over talent for women in the WWE.
Molly, who once agreed to an angle that would see her head shaved at Wrestlemania, currently focusses on her real estate business and property holdings. She is also a licensed masseuse.
Molly has also done numerous charity work and now works for the Minnesota Teen Challenge, a rehabilitation program for drug and alcohol addicted teenagers.
3. Eve Torres
Eve Torres had a pretty successful time in the WWE, albeit in a weak Divas division. She captured the Divas title three times and had a sustained run in the Raw main event by getting into an angle involving John Cena as well as being an authority figure.
While she remains an ambassador for the WWE to this day, she asked for her release from the company in 2012.
Eve had been in a long-term relationship with Rener Gracie, co-creator of the Gracie academy which gives online martial arts training all over the world. Being a Jiu-Jitsu practitioner herself, Eve decided to focus on her role as head instructor for the Gracie Women Empowered Self-defense program.
Eve and Rener had a child in 2015.
4. Kaitlyn
A little over a year since leaving the WWE after a forgettable Divas title reign, Kaitlyn has been turning heads recently. The wrestler-cum-bodybuilder has been sharing a number of her workout photos on social media which shows her with more muscles than multiple male WWE Superstars.
Kaitlyn’s enduring legacy in the WWE might be the fact that she was the one whom AJ Lee defeated to kickstart a legendary title run, but Kaitlyn has stayed active with multiple endeavours outside the ring.
In addition to her body building career, she has launched a fitness clothing company called Celestial Bodiez, is a spokeswoman for a nutrition lab owned by her husband and owns a smoothie bar as well.
5. Alundra Blayze
Alundra Blayze aka Madusa caused quite a stir in the Monday Night Wars when she jumped ship from the WWE to WCW with the WWE Women's title in hand. The 3-time Women’s Champion proceeded to throw the belt in a trash can on her debut on WCW, a decision she later regretted.
But all was forgiven years later as Blayze was inducted in to the WWE Hall of Fame. The ceremony also brought to light her alternate career – monster truck driving. She entered the business in 1999 and bought her own monster truck soon afterwards.
She won the 2004 Motor Jam World Finals (freestyle) and has competed all over the world. She even beat her trainer to become the 2005 Motor Jam World Finals (Racing) Champion as well. She is also the EVP of the Major League of Monster Trucks.
