5 Twists WWE can surprise us with on WWE RAW

Tonight's episode of WWE RAW takes place from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. We continue on the road to WrestleMania while also looking forward to the next PPV, WWE Elimination Chamber, which will take place later this month.

With Elimination Chamber only a couple of weeks away, WWE needs to start getting together the card for Elimination Chamber and we could see some major moves in that regard on tonight's episode of WWE RAW. However, this article won't look at the possible match card but instead at some curveballs that WWE could throw at us later tonight.

Before we begin, I just want to reiterate that these are all predictions and not fact, nor set in stone to happen.

#5 Jeff Jarrett beats Elias

Jeff Jarrett will wrestle on RAW for the first time since 1999

Jeff Jarrett returned at the WWE Royal Rumble entering at #2 and despite teasing a duet with Elias, he was unceremoniously dumped out of the ring by the younger Superstar. He was back on RAW the next night, this time with Road Dogg. Elias attacked them and laid them out again which has led to Elias vs double J being booked for WWE RAW tonight,

We still don't know what plans WWE has for this feud so don't be surprised if Road Dogg helps Elias win his match tonight thanks to a distraction from ringside. Also, don't be surprised if JJ breaks a guitar on Elias - third times the charm, I guess.

#4 Dean Ambrose shows babyface tendencies

Despite WWE saying that Dean Ambrose is leaving, I still think there's a decent chance this is all an elaborate work. Even if Ambrose does leave, I still think that WWE is building up to Ambrose vs Triple H at WrestleMania.

If that is indeed the case, I expect Ambrose to break from his full heelish-ness and start showing more babyface tendencies from RAW tonight.

#3 Kurt Angle "retires" but doesn't retire

Kurt Angle is set to be on RAW tonight to make a big announcement. In my opinion, Angle could be teasing a retirement. I also think that someone will definitely interfere during Angle's retirement promo.

If you had to ask me to guess, I'd say Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin comes out to interrupt Angle only for Braun Strowman to come to the rescue. This could lead to Angle and Strowman vs Corbin and McIntyre at WrestleMania 35.

#2 Seth Rollins does NOT appear on RAW

We all expect Seth Rollins to return and call out Brock Lesnar for what happened last week on RAW but it's not that straightforward. Rollins is reportedly legitimately injured, something that kept him off a weekend Live Event.

With WrestleMania season already here, WWE could choose to rest Rollins on RAW and give him a chance to heal up. This would also help seal the seriousness of the beating Rollins took at the hands of Brock Lesnar last week.

#1 Becky Lynch gets banned from RAW

The biggest storyline heading into tonight's episode of RAW has to be RAW commissioner Stephanie McMahon inviting 'The Man' Becky Lynch to RAW. Lynch responded swiftly on Twitter reiterating the fact that she was planning to be on RAW despite Stephanie's invitation.

Before I explain my prediction, let's take a look at the facts. 'Mania is still about two months away and with two PPV's in-between, Lynch cannot continue feuding with Ronda Rousey for the next two months.

Instead, what WWE can do is find a way to forcefully keep them apart as long as possible until the storyline is ready for its next phase? How does WWE do this? Easy.

Stephanie McMahon and Becky Lynch can get into a war of words which will lead McMahon to slap 'The Man' across the face. Lynch replies by locking the Dis-Arm-Her in return and this eventually leads to Stephanie banning Becky Lynch from her show - WWE RAW.
