Following his divorce, John Cena started dating Nikki Bella in late 2012. Nikki Bella was one of the stars of Total Divas, and her life with the 16-time World Champion was one of the central angles of the show.
Bella and Cena dated for five years before the former WWE Champion proposed to her inside the ring at WrestleMania 33, following their victory over The Miz and Maryse.
The two wrestlers were supposed to get married in May 2018. However, Bella decided to end the engagement and break up with Cena just one month before the scheduled wedding.
Nikki Bella later revealed on Better Together that she broke up with John Cena because he did not want to have children.
"Overall, we did have such an incredible relationship. It was just two people that wanted two different lives but were trying so hard to make it one. Even in the end when he was willing to give me kids, I could just tell, it's not what he wanted. And that's really, like, you know, what pushed me in the end, I was like, 'Am I'm going to force someone to be a father?" Nikki said.
Bella is currently engaged to her former Dancing with the Stars partner Artem Chigvintsev. She gave birth to their first child last year.
