Several current WWE wrestlers have grown up having had crushes on previous wrestlers in the company.
For example, The Anti-Diva Paige had a wrestling crush growing up. Nearly six years ago. She confessed to Stone Cold Steve Austin on the Stone Cold Podcast that she had a crush on him as a kid.
Like Paige, many current WWE Superstars have revealed their wrestling crushes over the past few years. While the former Divas Champion was not lucky enough to share the WWE locker room with The Texas Rattlesnake, other WWE Superstars are currently colleagues with their childhood wrestling crushes.
Here are five current WWE Superstars who have had crushes on other wrestlers.
#5. WWE Superstar The Miz
The Miz is one of the most accomplished WWE Superstars in history. He debuted nearly 15 years ago. He is now a two-time Grand Slam Champion.
Before he became a big star, The Miz was just a young pro wrestling fan. A young Miz had a crush on one of the most beautiful women ever to work for WWE, Sable.
"I thought she was absolutely breathtaking," The Miz told WWE.com. "I always loved blondes as a kid growing up, even to this day. That’s probably why I married one (Maryse)," he added.
The Miz and Sable never shared the WWE locker room. The 54-year-old bombshell left WWE nearly two years before The Most Must-See WWE Superstar made his debut.
The former WWE Champion has followed in his childhood crush's footsteps, marrying a colleague. The former Women's Champion fell in love with Brock Lesnar during her second stint in WWE. They tied the knot in May 2006.
Around the same time, The Miz met his wife Maryse for the first time when he hosted the 2006 Diva Search, in which The French-Canadian Beauty participated. The two dated for several years before getting married in February 2014.
#4. WWE Superstar Becky Lynch
Becky Lynch has established herself as one of the most popular WWE Superstars of the current generation. Like her first wrestling crush, Lynch knows how to get a strong reaction from the WWE Universe.
During a live talk show with Gorilla Position two years ago, Lynch revealed that Jeff Hardy was her first wrestling crush. The Man is one of the few current WWE Superstars who have had the chance to share the locker room with their wrestling crushes.
Lynch joined WWE in 2013 and made it to the main roster two years later. In 2017, Jeff Hardy returned to WWE alongside his brother Matt. Although they have never teamed up together or shared the ring as opponents, both Becky Lynch and Jeff Hardy are currently employed by WWE.
Hardy is a regular competitor on Monday Night RAW. Last Monday, he squared off against Karrion Kross but came up short. Becky Lynch is currently on maternity leave. She has been absent from in-ring competition for nearly a year and a half.
But according to reports, Becky Lynch is ring-ready and could be returning to WWE this summer.
#3. WWE Superstar Otis
WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus was one of the most eye-catching beauties of the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras. She had many admirers, including one who has now become a WWE Superstar himself.
WWE Superstar Otis had a huge crush on Trish Stratus growing up. When he was in fifth grade, he attended a live WWE show where he got over-excited and ran towards the barrier to slap Trish's hand on her way to the ring. Instead, he was speared by a WWE security guard.
"It hurt, every bit of it hurt. I was a 200-pound fifth grader – I looked like a man almost. So yeah I made a sacrifice, got speared, but after that spear from the guard we got first row tickets. So it all happened for a reason," he told Digital Spy.
Although he became a well-known WWE Superstar, the former Mr. Money in the Bank has never told Trish about that story in person. Nonetheless, he hopes she hears about it from the media.
"It's hard for me to talk to her as a lady I've watched for years in the Sports Entertainment world. It would be a good way for me to express... you know, without really talking to her in person," he added in his interview with Digital Spy.
Otis is currently competing on SmackDown. Meanwhile, Trish Stratus has retired from in-ring competition. The seven-time Women's Champion has made several WWE appearances and wrestled a few matches since her retirement in 2006.
Stratus' last match came against Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam two years ago. The WWE Hall of Famer lost to The Queen.
#2. WWE Superstar Akira Tozawa
Akira Tozawa kicked off his wrestling career in 2005. He joined WWE nearly eleven years later. He has since gone on to win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship and the 24/7 Championship eleven times.
A year before bringing in Tozawa, WWE signed another Japanese wrestler, Asuka. The Empress of Tomorrow was one of the biggest pro-wrestling names in her home country and had many admirers.
Among those admirers was Tozawa himself, who admitted on WWE Pop Question that he had a crush on his current WWE colleague. The former Cruiserweight Champion stated that he had no clue why he had a crush on her.
Asuka has had much more success than Tozawa in WWE so far. The 39-year-old is already a Triple Crown and Grand Slam Champion. She also won the 2018 Women's Royal Rumble and the 2020 Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
Both Japanese Superstars currently wrestle on the same brand. On the August 2nd episode, Tozawa challenged Reggie for the 24/7 Championship. However, the eleven-time champion failed to beat his opponent and recapture the title.
Meanwhile, Asuka has not been seen on WWE television since losing the Money in the Bank Ladder Match last month.
#1. WWE Superstar Liv Morgan
John Cena has been WWE's alpha male for more than a decade. He has had many admirers over the years, including current WWE Superstar Liv Morgan.
Morgan confessed that she had a huge crush on Cena during his run as The Doctor of Thuganomics.
"I had a huge, huge, huge, huge, huge, huge, huge crush on John Cena. I thought he was the coolest ever. He came out with his backward hat, chain gang soldier. I was like, 'Me too, bro,'" she said WWE Pop Question.
More than fifteen years later, Morgan and Cena are now present in WWE at the same time. The former Riott Squad member is currently on the SmackDown roster. However, she has not competed in nearly a month, following her loss at the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
Meanwhile, Cena returned to WWE at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. He went straight to challenging the Universal Champion Roman Reigns for his title. The two men will square off at SummerSlam.
