#1. WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is another former superstar who married her high school sweetheart. The Diva of the Decade went to Bayview Secondary School in Richmond Hill, Ontario, where she first met Ron Fisico. The two fell in love with each other and dated for several years.

Fisico and Stratus were both wrestling fans growing up. During her appearance on Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette, the former Women's Champion revealed that they bonded over their love for wrestling.

"He was a wrestling fan, so we related. We were around that, remember Toronto was like a hotbed for wrestling when we were children. When we started dating (...) there wasn’t many females that liked wrestling, or maybe said they didn’t. So the fact that I liked wrestling, we’d take trips I’ll never forget. We’d go to Florida, we’d drive to Florida and we’d base it around going to an event. Like a Nitro, we went to a WCW Nitro. Like it was part of our trip thing. So we always related from the very beginning on stuff," she explained.

Stratus went to college and worked as a fitness model before signing with WWE in 1999. She spent seven years in Vince McMahon's company, during which she became arguably the greatest female superstar in WWE history.

In 2006, the seven-time Women's Champion officially retired to start a family with Fisico. The couple tied the knot later that same year. In an interview with Reality TV in 2007, Stratus spoke about her relationship with Fisico. The WWE Hall of Famer disclosed that she somehow spent her honeymoon without her husband.

"I retired from wrestling the middle of September last year. I got married at the end of September to my high school sweetheart. We waited basically for my whole wrestling career to be over with because I was on the road for seven years. And we finally got married and built a new house. We put off our honeymoon because we were moving. We were just getting settled into our new life and our new home and I get a call to go to Muncie, Indiana (to participate in Armed and Famous reality show). So I kind of spent my honeymoon in Muncie, without my husband. My priority right now is to enjoy my husband," she said.

The couple have been married for 15 years now. They have a son and a daughter.

Since announcing her retirement in 2006, Stratus has made several WWE appearances and even competed in a few matches. Her final bout came against Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam in 2019. The WWE Hall of Famer ultimately lost to The Queen.
