7 Superstars who could return at WWE Survivor Series 2019

WWE's penultimate PPV of 2019, Survivor Series, takes place this coming weekend, 24 November. The PPV will see the three brands - RAW, SmackDown and NXT, compete against each other for the very first time.

We will see a host of matches pitting all three brands against each other, while there will also be a few title matches between Superstars of the same brand.

The PPV, as is the case with most other PPVs, could see the return of a few Superstars, who have either been injured or have been written off television.

Let's take a look at 7 Superstars who could return at WWE Survivor Series 2019:

#7 Dominick

Dominick, Rey Mysterio's son, is training to be a WWE Superstar, like his father. He has been involved in a storyline with his father after the two received a beatdown from Brock Lesnar on an episode of RAW.

The attack by Lesnar on Mysterio and his son, resulted in Mysterio bringing Cain Velasquez to WWE, on the SmackDown's premiere on FOX.

A few weeks ago on RAW, Mysterio attacked Lesnar with a pipe, leading to a match at Survivor Series for the WWE Championship.

Dominick hasn't been seen on WWE television since being attacked by The Beast, but he could return at Survivor Series to interfere and help his father. WWE announced that the match between Lesnar and Mysterio is going to be a no disqualification match, which means that Dominick can help his father without getting disqualified.

#6 Dio Maddin

Another person who faced the wrath of Lesnar in recent weeks is RAW commentator Dio Maddin, who moved to the red brand in the recent shakeup that saw new commentary teams on both RAW and SmackDown.

Maddin tried to stand up for his fellow commentators but was assaulted by Lesnar. We could perhaps see Mysterio enlist the help of Maddin as well to exact revenge on Lesnar.

#5 Sheamus

Sheamus, WWE's veteran Superstar, has been out of action since the week after WrestleMania 35. He was first diagnosed with a concussion, but he's now fit and raring to go.

But, WWE don't seem to have any storyline for him at the moment, which could be the reason why he has not been seen on WWE television. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer recently revealed that Sheamus still has spinal stenosis which is the reason for his delayed return.

But, Sheamus has himself revealed in recent months that he is fit and ready to return to action when called upon.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda's Tom Colohue, Sheamus' former tag team partner Cesaro, revealed that he is concentrating on being a singles star, which put doubt on The Bar reuniting.

If Sheamus is fit and available for Survivor Series, we could maybe see him take out someone to set up a feud.

#4 The Usos

The Usos have run into some trouble with the law in the last few months, which has probably resulted in them being taken off television. Both Jimmy and Jey are fit and ready to wrestle, with Dave Meltzer revealing that they are waiting for WWE creative to give them something to work with.

They haven't been on TV since July, and it's probably the right time to bring them back, to spice up the tag team division.

They weren't a part of the WWE Draft, which means that they are possibly free agents and can choose either RAW or SmackDown, or even NXT. We could perhaps see them return at Survivor Series to challenge the winners of the tag team elimination match.

#3 Naomi

Naomi has also not been on WWE television for a few months, and has been on the sidelines just like her husband Jimmy Uso.

There's a possibility that she too can return to WWE television soon, perhaps even turning up for NXT.

#2 Elias

Elias has also not seen action in the last two months, with his last match coming in the first week of September. Elias had to pull out of the King of the Ring tournament due to an ankle injury. And we believe that it is the same injury that has kept him out so far.

Elias was kept on SmackDown in the WWE Draft, and he could be one of the top heels on the blue brand once he returns. Reports had suggested that Elias should have returned by the end of October.

This probably means that he is fit and ready to wrestle once again, and perhaps WWE are waiting for the right time to introduce him to WWE programming once again.

While the Survivor Series card is stacked, we could perhaps see Elias used in a musical role, where he takes a jibe at the crowd to rile them up, or even comes to the aid of his SmackDown brethren.

#1 Cain Velasquez

Another Superstar who has feuded with Brock Lesnar in recent months is Cain Velasquez, who had his first WWE match at Crown Jewel against The Beast.

Velasquez lost his debut in quick time. Reports have indicated that the quick finish was because WWE wanted to protect Velasquez, who is suffering a legitimate knee injury.

The former UFC star has not been seen on WWE television since that night in Saudi Arabia, and we aren't quite sure how long he will take to recuperate from his injury. But, there is a possibility of him interfering in Lesnar's title match against Rey Mysterio, perhaps just distracting Lesnar to put him off his game.

Velasquez was added to a live event match in Mexico that will take place at the end of the month, which perhaps indicates that he is close to full fitness, or is fully fit.

His return could hint towards a rematch between him and Lesnar, perhaps at Royal Rumble, which happens in January.
