Fantasy Booking: How Triple H Would Book The Men's WWE Royal Rumble Match

Who will rule the Rumble under Triple H?
Who will rule the Rumble under Triple H?

There's no way I would look at the Royal Rumble match-card this year and feel that the show lacks excitement, but let's not forget how disappointing WrestleMania 34 ended up being. With WWE failing to bring anything fulfilling to the table as far as creativity is concerned, legions of professional wrestling fans have started diving into different promotions to catch a glimpse of platforms who are redefining sports entertainment.

Considering that the birth of All Elite Wrestling has also brought legitimate pressure on the company too but their best foot forward after multiple stars were rumored to have requested for their release from Vince McMahon's billion dollar company. Since the fans are not invested in whatever the creative team has provided them in the past few years, the WWE Universe looks up to Triple H as their sole savior.

The Game has earned a massive reputation of being the one to break the glass ceiling with his elite blend of storytelling and professional wrestling outshining everything that is going on in North America. Judging by how NXT has transpired to become one of the most critically acclaimed shows on the award-winning WWE Network, it's about time that Mr. McMahon gets Hunter on-board and endorse his ideas while booking the Royal Rumble match.

Since the men's Royal Rumble match is one of the most reputed bouts in WWE history, the fans are expecting something sensational to close the match this year considering how poorly it has ended in a past couple of years, barring 2018. Therefore, if the Cerebral Assassin is provided with a golden opportunity to book the Men's Royal Rumble match, then this bout could very well become one of the best in history.

So, without further ado, let's dive deep into our hypothetic yet hopeful wrestling world and predict how Triple H would book the men's Royal Rumble match.

#1 Pete Dunne and Shinsuke Nakamura enter as the first two participants

The clash of two worlds
The clash of two worlds

I genuinely believe that Triple H is incredibly good in embellishing and promoting superstars that are being presented to the audience for the very first time. Since Pete Dunne is ruling the UK division, entering him at the first spot could give the NXT UK brand the significant light it deserves, with the Worlds Colliding theme working beautifully.

With the Cerebral Assassin being so terrific in ascending a stature of a superstar through his entrance, it is Shinsuke Nakamura who would naturally open such a bout with the Bruiserweight.

The British Strong Style vs. The King of Strong Style starting this credible bout would get an outstanding reaction, with both the talented competitors bringing their best offensive moves forward.

While this is a dream match that the fans would die to see, just a glimpse of these two tussling it out for a golden opportunity would certainly put them and the entire style of the bout on a different level.

#2 Velveteen Dream debuts his attitude on the main roster and savagely eliminates John Cena

A perfect way to set up a WrestleMania match?
A perfect way to set up a WrestleMania match?

Regardless of what happens to John Cena and his Road to WrestleMania 35, the fans would love to see him get in the ring and lock horns with one of the most talented young competitors of this generation, Velveteen Dream.

Dream possesses all the credentials in the world of bringing a different type of attitude on our screens, with his presence winning the hearts of legions of WWE fans.

Imagining the Cenation Leader enter the Royal Rumble as a veteran, with the 16-time World Champion proving dominant; Triple H could use this opportunity to debut Dream on the main roster, with the fans going absolutely insane when his music hits.

These two confronting each other in front of record attendance in Chase Field would be a sight we can only dream of, with Velveteen displaying his brash attitude to the one who would want to adjust his attitude in John Cena.

The Cerebral Assassin is very efficient in protecting his superstars whilst ascending the other one and something of this sort could happen with the former WWE Champion after he is savagely eliminated by the NXT Sensation.

This could be an incredible way in putting them in front on Monday Night Raw and book a storyline between them that would go all the way down to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

#3 Sami Zayn promoted as an Iron Man in the Royal Rumble match for a future Intercontinental Championship match

Time to make Sami great again?
Time to make Sami great again?

Despite the fact that the Royal Rumble match is always as an entertaining ride, it would be even more significant if the company presents superstars in a more efficient manner. Considering that something like this could propel a career, booking Sami Zayn as an Underdog in the Royal Rumble match would be incredibly sensational.

The former NXT Champion is one of the most underutilized stars on the planet, with many believing that his return alongside Kevin Owens could elevate the tag-team scene on Monday Night Raw.

Vince McMahon's negligence for the tag-team division is pretty unfortunate, but the Game would have booked the bout in a completely different way.

With the Cerebral Assassin being a genuine admirer of underdog tales, he could redefine Zayn and genuinely gravitate the attention of the fans by putting some emphasis on him.

In my humble opinion, the fans would certainly like to see Zayn presented as a top babyface, with the former NXT Champion's incredible heartfelt performance earning him a top spot at the Grandest Stage of Them All, possibly for the Intercontinental Championship.

#4 Drew Mcintyre shatters the Royal Rumble record for most eliminations

The Prodigal Son has returned
The Prodigal Son has returned

There's no denying that it is Drew Mcintyre who the company sees as a potential main event star who could take this company forward for years to come. Considering that he is everything that Vince demanded from the main roster, the Scottish Sensation could absolutely run riot at Chase Field, Arizona.

With Roman Reigns out of the picture at the moment, it would be an ideal time for the spotlight to be thrown at the former NXT Champion who could dominate the bout by shattering the Royal Rumble record for most eliminations in a single match.

After the Monster Among Men broke the Big Dog's record at the Greatest Royal Rumble by tossing out a record thirteen superstars, it's time that the company pushes McIntyre as a genuine threat. Since Braun Strowman has not been developed the way he should have, the Game could turn his attention towards the Scottish Psychopath and push him to the moon.

Shattering the Royal Rumble record could be an efficient way in pushing Mcintyre to the next level, perhaps on a similar level to Brock Lesnar.

5 Lars Sullivan enters as Bray Wyatt's new 'monster' and eliminates Braun Strowman

This should be incredible
This should be incredible

This could genuinely be one of the biggest feuds for the WWE, with a terrific storyline attached to the frame, where the Eater of Worlds Bray Wyatt returns to Chase Field with a new 'Monster', Lars Sullivan.

Sullivan is bound to make his intimidating presence known at the Royal Rumble and despite the fact that Vince McMahon likes physically strong guys, Triple H would have portrayed the behemoth in a more creative way.

Imagining a scenario where the Monster Among Men is demolishing competition in the Royal Rumble and Bray Wyatt returns to the fold with a stellar surprise in Lars Sullivan.

Considering that it was Strowman who moved on from the Wyatt Family and went ahead to progress as a singles performer, a betrayal angle between the Monster Among Men and the Wyatt Family could be terrific.

The Wyatt Family surrounding the entire ring with Lars Sullivan locking horns with Braun Strowman could be an incredible sight to see, with the NXT behemoth ending up eliminating the Monster Among Men.

#6 A.J. Styles and Seth Rollins battle in a slugfest as the final two in the Royal Rumble match

The Game understands what the fans want
The Game understands what the fans want

Now coming towards the end of the Royal Rumble match with A.J. Styles, Drew Mcintyre, Lars Sullivan, and Seth Rollins working as the Final Four at Chase Field. With Lars Sullivan being presented as such a legitimate threat, the Royal Rumble psychology could align Mcintyre, Seth Rollins, and A.J. Styles to eliminate Sullivan out of the picture.

This would be an ideal way for Sullivan to be eliminated whilst presenting him efficiently, which would eventually lead to Mcintyre, Rollins, and Styles slugging it out as the Final three.

There's no better way to end this special bout than keeping the Architect and the Phenomenal One as the final two participants to determine the one who gets the golden opportunity to headline the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Considering the ovation this would receive, the Game could creatively book this ending and catapult both the superstars whilst making them tear each other apart to grab the brass ring.

A hypothetical situation where the Phenomenal One is all bruised up after going to war with Daniel Bryan, this would give a determined Seth Rollins the opportunity to take advantage of the situation and slow Styles down and eventually eliminate him.

While I would like to see the Phenomenal One headline WrestleMania one day, I genuinely believe that it is time for Seth Rollins to burn it down and be the Beast Slayer.
