Who should replace Mustafa Ali in The Elimination Chamber?
Who should replace Mustafa Ali in The Elimination Chamber?

While Mustafa Ali was originally slated to compete in the WWE Championship match at Elimination Chamber, a new report from Fightful.com is claiming that Ali will be removed from the match due to injury. The site also notes that the injury was accelerated during a house show on Sunday night, and it is rumored that Ali won't be cleared to compete.

With that being said and Ali being removed from the match coming at an extremely bad time for the promising young superstar, one has to wonder who will take his place inside the Elimination Chamber. Beyond that, one has to wonder if any of these options could be the one to finally dethrone Daniel Bryan.

Believe it or not, WWE has a lot of options when it comes to who should replace Ali inside the torturous chamber, but the company needs to also play it smart and have everything make sense. Here are four superstars that check off both of those boxes and do a variety of other interesting things for the company as well.

#4 Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio would be a great addition to the Elimination Chamber match

Rey Mysterio is still one of WWE's most beloved underdogs and would be an interesting addition to The Elimination Chamber title match. Not only is that evident by Mysterio's high flying arsenal, but also by how much of a fan favorite he is. If nothing else, Mysterio being in the match creates the same kind of feel that Mustafa Ali would have.

Another thing it could do is help prolong the feud between Mysterio and Andrade Cien Almas, which has been reaching a feverish pitch as of late. If nothing else, WWE could have Almas sneak into the chamber, cost Mysterio the match, and then set up another match against each other at Fastlane

#3 Rusev

What impact could Rusev have on the Elimination Chamber match?
What impact could Rusev have on the Elimination Chamber match?

Although Rusev probably wouldn't have much use in this match , especially with how the WWE is booking him right now, he would be a warm body for the company to replace Mustafa Al with. It could also help further his storyline with Shinsuke Nakamura, and maybe even keep the WWE Universe on its toes.

Think about it! If Rusev ends up in the match, all WWE has to do is have Nakamura come out and attack several superstars to create an unbelievable WWE moment. Beyond that, it also would create a reasonable doubt as to whether Bryan could retain or not, which is something the WWE title picture desperately needs right now.

In the end, Rusev isn't the best choice to fill this spot, but it would be a way to further his storyline with Nakamura, while also creating doubt as to whether Bryan comes out on top. This scenario allows for the company to do both of these things and kind of creates an 'OMG moment' in the meantime.

#2 John Cena

Can John Cena win it all at the Elimination Chamber?
Can John Cena win it all at the Elimination Chamber?

Let's be honest here.

John Cena versus Daniel Bryan would be a great match to do at WrestleMania 35, and Cena being put into the Chamber match would be the perfect way to go about it. All WWE has to do is have Bryan cost Cena the title with some kind of unbelievable heelish tactic, and then have Cena cut a promo on him the next night about Hustle, Loyalty and Respect.

Bryan can then counteract that with Eco-friendly talking points and discuss how Cena represents everything that is wrong with the company. If nothing else, that will create a very interesting dynamic between the two, allow the audience to get behind Cena, and maybe even set up one of the greatest WrestleMania matches of all time.

In the end, Cena versus Bryan would be a great direction for WWE to go with in the World Title picture, and could possibly result in a crowning moment for Bryan, depending on how WWE plays it. Of course there are various directions the company can go in and they all hold interesting possibilities, but this one is probably the most exciting.

#1 The Miz

Should The Miz enter The Elimination Chamber match as the ultimate underdog?
Should The Miz enter the Elimination Chamber match as the ultimate underdog?

WWE has done an amazing job in turning The Miz into a babyface, and while he is apart of the Tag Team division along with Shane McMahon at the moment, he can also be utilized in the WWE title picture as well. In fact, if WWE wants the fans to get behind The Miz as a babyface, why not have him pull double duty and take Daniel Bryan to his limits.

Sure, maybe WWE ends it with Bryan ultimately coming out on top, but WWE can book it in a way that opens up the possibility of a rematch. From there, WWE can finally bring The Miz and Daniel Bryan's feud to a feverish pitch, have Shane betray The Miz, and then make The Miz Bryan's opponent at WrestleMania 35.

Interestingly enough, this was rumored to be one of WWE's original plans for the the WWE title picture at WrestleMania 35, but fans wondered if the company could keep the feud going that long. Believe it or not, it looks like they can and they will. Beyond that, it also looks like if The Miz is added to the match, it could be the start of something big .
