Money in the Bank could witness some surprising returns!
Money in the Bank could witness some surprising returns!

Tonight we will witness the 10th edition of the Money in the Bank PPV live from the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. A total of 11 matches have been announced for the show, including the two Money in the Bank Ladder matches, and the card looks amazing.

This will be the first PPV for WWE after last month's grand WrestleMania 35 and WWE would be keen to make a great start to a new year in their programming.

WWE has been suffering from the issue of low ratings for the last few weeks and one can expect them to come out with all guns blazing at MITB tonight. This could lead to some shocking moments, segments, outcomes, and also some surprising returns on the show tonight.

In this article, let's take a look at the 5 Surprising returns that we can witness on the show tonight.

#5 Brock Lesnar

Will the Beast make his presence felt at MITB?
Will the Beast make his presence felt at MITB?

WWE has announced their return to the land of Saudi Arabia on 7th June with WWE Super ShowDown. The company has also announced some major superstars for the show with Goldberg going one-on-one against the Undertaker for the first time.

Another huge superstar who'll return to in-ring action at Super ShowDown next month is The Beast, Brock Lesnar. Lesnar lost his Universal Championship to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 35 last month and hasn't been on WWE TV ever since.

With him advertised for the show, fans are wondering who will the Beast face. In my opinion, there are huge chances of the Beast getting involved in the Universal Title scene again and challenge for the title at Super ShowDown. If that is indeed the plan, a great way to set it up would be to have him return at MITB and interfere in the Universal Title match between AJ Styles and Seth Rollins.

The dream feud between Styles and the Universal Champion, Seth Rollins has been pretty underwhelming so far, and it's going to be a tough job for WWE to decide the winner of this match as MITB as none of the two can afford a loss at this time.

Brock Lesnar interfering in this match and causing a disqualification in the match can lead to a triple threat between AJ, Seth, and Lesnar at Super ShowDown for the Universal Championship. I've discussed this possibility in one of my other articles, which you can check out here.

#4 Authors of Pain

The SmackDown Tag division needs them!
The SmackDown Tag division needs them!

MITB pre-show will feature a tag-team match between the recently crowned SmackDown Tag Team Champion, Daniel Bryan and Rowan, and The Usos. On paper, this match doesn't have any huge stakes, but WWE booking a star like Daniel Bryan on the pre-show tells us that they wanna keep the ratings high during the pre-show as well.

A great way of getting more attention to the pre-show would be to have a top team debut and confront the SmackDown tag team champs. The Authors of Pain have been out of action for quite some time now due to an injury sustained by Akam earlier this year. With the reports of him recovered from the injury and ready for a return, these two might show up at MITB and lay down a challenge to Daniel Bryan and Rowan.

#3 Sasha Banks

Could we see her back?
Could we see her back?

Sasha Banks has been missing from WWE programming ever since WrestleMania 35. The reports of her unhappy with the company and asking for a release has been a huge talking point since the last month.

Recently, she has mocked the "INTERNET" on Twitter, leading to the speculation that the situation between her and the company is not as bad as it looked.

Sasha Banks returning at Money in the Bank tonight would surely create a huge buzz. A heel Sasha interfering in the Women's MITB ladder match could lead to many amazing storylines.

She can somehow enter the Women's ladder match and win the MITB briefcase or can interfere in either of the two Women's Championship matches to begin a feud with Becky Lynch.

#2 Bray Wyatt

Could Bray Wyatt unleash his monster tonight at MITB?
Could Bray Wyatt unleash his monster tonight at MITB?

Bray Wyatt has arguably been the best part of WWE programming since WrestleMania 35. His mysterious and creepy Firefly FunHouse segments have managed to capture the interest of fans and with him revealing his dark secret last week, WWE Universe is excited to see him return to the ring.

Bray Wyatt appearing at MITB tonight in his masked scary character could be a huge shock and can kickstart an amazing comeback for Wyatt with a new gimmick. He has teased a feud with the United States Champion, Samoa Joe on his Twitter, so can we witness Bray confronting Joe to "Hurt and Heal" him?

#1 Triple H

Could the Game return at MITB to start a huge feud?
Could the Game return at MITB to start a huge feud?

Triple H has not been seen on WWE TV ever since his match against Batista at WrestleMania 35. Though recently, he has managed to grab the attention of the IWC (Internet Wrestling Community) by liking some controversial tweets from fans about Vince stepping down and Triple H taking over.

Though Hunter was quick to dislike them soon, could this all be leading to something huge? With WWE ratings making all-time low records, could WWE and Vince plan a huge storyline to get the fans attention back to the product?

Triple H returning tonight and helping one of his NXT graduates win the MITB ladder match and announcing his intentions to "TakeOver WWE" from Vince McMahon could create a huge buzz on the Internet. With him scheduled to face Randy Orton at Super ShowDown next month, he could also screw him over to have some storyline for their match. In any case, the return of the Cerebral Assassin would be huge.
