While this is not Chad Gable's first rodeo as a heel WWE Superstar, it surely is a surprise as he has cultivated a considerable amount of fanbase this past year.

The nitty-gritty of his incredible popularity was his credible underdog image in the eyes of the WWE Universe, who rooted for him throughout his rivalry with Gunther over the Intercontinental Championship.

Even Sami Zayn's win over Gable ahead of WrestleMania XL was deemed the wrong call by those online. They felt the creative team replaced the Alpha Academy leader with Zayn as The Ring General's conqueror. In the end, it was Sami who received the honor on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

Taking to Instagram after failing to defeat the current Intercontinental Champion last week on RAW, Chad Gable pointed to raising the former's hand as a sign of being honorable. This was right before the Olympian caught Zayn off-guard and gave him a post-match beatdown.

Check out Chad Gable's message ahead of RAW:

"Maintaining class while upholding justice. An honorable man," wrote Gable.

Having already successfully defended the belt against Gable, it remains to be seen if WWE will rush into the next chapter of this rivalry over the Intercontinental Championship. Backlash France is only a few weeks away, but the Sami Zayn vs. Chad Gable feud seems to have truly commenced only now.

Chad Gable reportedly set to form a new faction with fresh faces on WWE RAW

The team of Otis, Maxxine Dupri, and Akira Tozawa was led by Chad Gable on RAW for months on end. The Alpha Academy may have run its course now, though, as Master Gable has snapped.

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer, The Creed Brothers are in line for a significant push in WWE, with the Olympian taking them under his wing. The tag team is fairly new and while they showed a heel side to them initially, they won fans over with their stellar in-ring performances.

Julius Creed recently disclosed during an interview with Denise Salcedo about a hilarious DNA test result that he received. It stated that he is "less inclined" than an average person to become an athlete. Creed concluded by saying that he and his wife, Cortney Earnest, had a laugh about it later.

"I did this DNA testing thing," Julius began. "It came back last night on the drive down. I was all excited to see the personality and character traits, and then the physical traits. I'm going through it, the character trait lines up, the sleeping thing lines up, and then I get to the athletic stuff. It's like, 'Way less inclined than the average person to be an athlete. Way less able to build muscle. Way less able to recover. Way less,' on all this stuff. I sent it to my fiancee and I'm like, 'Man, I really beat the odds. I overcame some of this stuff."

It remains to be seen if Ivy Nile, who has always associated herself with The Creed Brothers, will join Chad Gable's rumored new stable on WWE RAW. Nevertheless, it's a step in the right direction after a directionless few months for the former NXT stars.
