Edge and Chris Jericho saw something special in Shelton Benjamin a long time ago.

Shelton Benjamin recently spoke to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful to discuss all things WWE. During the interview, Benjamin revealed that both Edge and Jericho were impressed with him and felt like he was a video game character. The two stars were blown away by Benjamin's athleticism.

"I feel like Edge and Jericho were treating me like they were controlling me on a video game," said Benjamin. "'Hey, Shelton, can you do this?' Beep. Hit a button then he does it. That’s basically what it was. Everything they came and asked me about, I was like, 'Yeah.' But in my head, I’m like, 'Can’t you?' No clue."

Benjamin has often impressed fans throughout his career, as he is frequently praised for his athletic abilities.

Chris Jericho continues to mentor young talent in All Elite Wrestling

Chris Jericho once worked closely with Shelton Benjamin when the latter was a young star. Now, having been in the wrestling industry for over three decades, he knows how important it is to help get the next generation of talent over.

Beyond wrestling rising talents like Jungle Boy, MJF, and Orange Cassidy in All Elite Wrestling, Jericho has also been at the forefront of two stables that have been utilized to get young talent over.

Initially, with The Inner Circle, he helped Sammy Guevara, Santana, and Ortiz take their names to the next level. But the former champion currently leads The Jericho Appreciation Society, which includes Daniel Garcia and 2point0.

If Jericho can successfully raise the stock of Garcia and 2point0 in 2022, it's safe to say his legacy in All Elite Wrestling will be secured.
