Ron Killings, a truly entertaining personality, has been a fixture in the Stamford-based promotion since 2008. Over his remarkable 17-year tenure, Truth has secured numerous championships. The veteran recently faced his 'childhood hero,' John Cena, at Saturday Night's Main Event, where he unfortunately lost. Later, on an episode of SmackDown, he also experienced a huge upset at the hands of the newest Bloodline member, JC Mateo.

On June 1, R-Truth announced his departure from the Stamford-based promotion and thanked the WWE Universe for years of support. The former champion's release wasn't well-received backstage.

That being said, in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), Dave Meltzer reported that those in TNA Wrestling are already interested in signing R-Truth.

Wrestling veteran says R-Truth received a great send-off before WWE release

Wrestling veteran Disco Inferno recently shared his thoughts on Ron Killings' release from the sports entertainment giant. He discussed this on a segment of the podcast K100 with Konnan and Disco Inferno.

The former WCW wrestler stated that R-Truth received an excellent farewell from WWE by highlighting his bout with John Cena at SNME.

"Dude, take away from the standpoint of the fans and talent, if you're in the office, are you going to sign everybody that's 53 years old? The guy's had a great career. He's 53. They're not going to renew him again. He's just a comedy character... However, bro, what a send-off this guy got. He got a match against John Cena at Saturday Night's Main Event, and his t-shirt now is the number one seller. So, you're giving the guy a great severance package out the door," Inferno said.
