#2 Dolph Ziggler vs Luke Harper (c) in a Ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship [WWE TLC 2014]

Luke Harper at the WWE Intercontinental Champion

Towards the end of 2014, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan broke apart from the Wyatt Family and focused on their singles career. Harper aligned himself with The Authority and courtesy of his decision, he was awarded an Intercontinental Championship match with Dolph Ziggler. Harper won the title but Ziggler was provided with a rematch at WWE TLC.

Although their first singles match wasn't noteworthy, Harper and Ziggler tore the house down at the final pay-per-view of the year. It's been five years since the event and people are still talking about the match, which is an indication of the level of work put in by both Ziggler and Harper. The Showoff won the fight and the Championship while Harper proved why he deserved the title run in the first place.

#1 Bad News Barrett (c) vs Luke Harper vs Dolph Ziggler vs R-Truth vs Daniel Bryan vs Stardust vs Dean Ambrose in a 7-man Ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship [WWE WrestleMania 31]

Luke Harper continued his hunt for the WWE Intercontinental Championship ever after his loss at TLC. This led him to his first and only singles title match at WrestleMania. He had a tough task at his hands as he needed to topple six other Superstars to win the Intercontinental Title.

The seven-man Ladder match opened WrestleMania 31 and the fans were subjected to one of the best openers of WWE's 'Show of Shows'. Although Daniel Bryan emerged victorious, Harper had his moments throughout the match. At one point, Harper ran through everyone and went up the ladder to retrieve the title but his arch-nemesis Dolph Ziggler took him out with the Sleeper Hold. To date, this has to be the most note-worthy match involving Luke Harper.
